Make that last title "Transylvania 6-5000".

You can go back and fix that "Transylvania 6-5000" mistake by clicking the "edit/delete" button at the top of your original post. This will lead you to a new window (much like the new thread or reply windows) that enables you to edit your post. When you are done, click on "save changes."

Finally! At long last, they aired "Trick or Tweet". I think this is a debut cartoon. If it wasn't a debut, this is the first time I've seen it on CN. Come to think of it, it's the first time I've ever seen it. Good cartoon, I didn't realize that "Sam" had appeared in any cartoons other than "Mouse and Garden" or "Merlin the Magic Mouse". The voice reminded me a lot of Mr. Jinks here.

If the voice of Sam reminded you of Mr. Jinks, it's more than just coincidence. That's Daws Butler, voice of... you guessed it... Mr. Jinks, doing Sam's voice. Beck/Friedwald say he was also Sam in "Mouse and Garden" and, of course, Butler is the only voice actor credited in "Merlin the Magic Mouse" (it's also the only cartoon in which he did the voices of Merlin and Second Banana before Larry Storch took over).

I don't doubt it's Daws.....but at one point, did you hear Sam's laugh/wheeze? He sounded JUST like Pete Puma [voiced by Stan Freberg]!!!

If this was a premiere cartoon, I sure am glad I decided to start taping on weekends again [after a layoff of several months]! Speaking of premieres, has "A Bird in a Bonnet" aired yet???

This wasn't a premiere. "Trick or Tweet" aired once before on CN, on the 5/12/01 Looney Tunes Show (I *love* the "Search" feature!! :D ). Sadly, CN still hasn't aired "A Bird in a Bonnet" yet. That is now the only ABC cartoon they haven't aired.

Not to nit-pick, but I think along with the cartoon title listings can we also state whether or not the cartoon was time-compressed? I for one would be interested, just to see how many toons they'll broadcast within the 4-hour allotment. The more time-compressed toons, the more commercials.

Other than John Seely music, what is wrong with "A Bird In A Bonnet"? It's a charming little cartoon. It's Tweety. It's Sylvester, It's FRIZ. And if cars really went into the Holland Tunnel that fast, more people would probably use it!

Anyway, reading this message, I just remembered I have a copy of this cartoon on 16mm and I can give you a small taste of what you'll see.... when Cartoon Network gets off its collective duff and shows this cartoon!

So that's the cartoon I remember seeing on ABC as a young kid with the weird music! I should have figured it was John Seely's "crap" music.

I think I remember that this was the cartoon that showed Granny going to different department stores, am I not mistaken?

(I think one of them was called Stacy's or Lacy's or something like Macy's, I could be wrong...)
