This was the short that was shown at a film festival, and not a series pilot, right?

It doesn't matter. It is stupid anyway.

My only gripe is that it wasn't long enough! Being a long time dog lover, this definitely struck a chord with me!

It just seemed to drag on and on, while not being funny at all. At the end, I was like "It's only been 6 or 7 minutes?!" All the jokes were pretty much hack material (the minutes = hours to dogs, for example). Simply un-funny.

I'm VERY glad it's back to new Sealab, ATHF, and the rest :D

I gotta say that the talent behind this show is excellent...Jack Black and Laura Kitlinger (apologies for probable misspelling there), both great comedic talents. However, the show wasn't really funny at all. Of course, the biggest strike was that it's all about dogs....personally, I can't stand the stupid drooling mutts.

It really wasn't the fact that it was about dogs that killed it for me, since I don't really care much for them but enjoyed the movie "Best in Show". The thing is it was great potential from the people involved that felt really wasted. The material and the outcome was just substandard.

I really hope they don't rerun this in April, I'd rather see Rejected instead.

It was cool.

I thought it was great. Not series quality great, but animated short great. I'd love to see more stuff like this come to Adult Swim. If they could get more of this kind of material, they could do a show like O Canada with independent American animation very easilly.

I liked Lewis Lectures, and I also happen to like dogs. However, I didn't specifically like LL because it was about dogs. That's why I can't understand all you people saying "I didn't like it. It has dogs. I don't like dogs." Can you only like a show if you like the species of the protagonists? What about ATHF? Do you like pistaschio shakes and a rotting wad of meat? I sure don't, but I like ATHF. If you didn't like LL, at least come up with an original reason why not.

I think that most of the humor had to do with whether you are a dog owner or at least like dogs, so that you could identify with what was going on. That way, you'd say to yourself "Oh that's funny, that's the same thing my dog does." But if you don't have a dog, then those kinds of jokes won't work on well on you. That was the way I felt while watching it. Personally, I'm not fond of dogs and was slightly amused at the beginning of the short but was yawning by the end of it.

[indent]It wasn't great, but it definitely wasn't bad either. I would have to give it a rating of mildly amusing. I am mostly just glad that CN and AS are giving things like this a chance. There are not many outlets these days for shorts to reach a wide audience. They can be very hit and miss, even between individual people, but I'll gladly donate seven minutes of my time to give something a try.

Lola, it`s like Joe Tully said... I don`t care about the species of the characters, but in this the humor was dependant ON their species. Dog jokes. And I don`t get dog jokes because I don`t know much about them :P
