Coming soon: Scary Movie 3

There was an article in the newspaper about movie sequels this year.

Among them was Scary Movie 3: Episode 1-Lord of the Brooms. It says it will be released after Labor Day. YAYY. Another movie to look forward to this year.

I look forward seeing scary movie 3 but really how many spoofs can they really do with this.Like scary movie was good but scary 2 movie was just plain stupid with cheap laughs,but then again i just happen to like looking at these kind of movies. :D :D :cool: :cool:

Anyway, the description says it won't focus on horror movies (as shown in the movie title).

I'm sure they'll throw in some Resident Evil, Blade 2, and Panic Room Spoofs before the time they finish production of the film.

The title looks obvious to me. But, I will explain it more anyway. It will focus on spoofing fantasy movies (the new Star Wars, LOTR of course).

My guess is, regardless of what it's about, it'll be most horrific movie that I hope I will never, ever see.

I heard about this, but I don't know if they ever completed the script or set a shooting date. The only reason the original Scary Movie worked was because it was such a direct parody of Scream. In fact, a lot of the dialogue was lifted right out of the Scream script. When I saw Scary Movie for the first time at the movies, my friend and I (huge Scream buffs) were saying the lines out loud along with the characters. That's how dead-on the parody was.

Scary Movie 2 was way cheaper. Just a bunch of random movie references and idiot gags. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

Star Wars, LOTR and Harry Potter, to be exact ("Brooms"). All fantasy/sci-fi genres. Haven't seen any of the Scary Movies, not going to see them now.

I saw the first Scary Movie and laughed myself silly (Ms. Man, heh heh), and was going to see the 2nd one until i was put off by how bad everyone said it was. but if the 3rd one contains harry potter and LOTR spoofs then i'll see no matter how bad it is!! :D

Well it's listed as a follow-up to Scary Movie 2 in "Movie Connections" on IMDb.com's Scary Movie 2 section, so it's definitely a real movie.

The first Scary movie was funny, the second one was funny, but just really that "watch one time, laugh one time" type of funny.

Scary Movie was hilarious- a great pararody of the multiple teen slasher flicks released in the last five or so years. Scary Movie 2 bit the big one. I'll see it, just 'cause, but my expectations for SM 3 are low.

That is sooooo true. The first time I saw Scary Movie I litterally laughed throughout the entire thing. The second time... Not so much.

Scary Movie 1 is better than Part 2. Unfortunately, I had to force myself to laugh at certain times, but other times it was hilarious (the Nike rip off, the wheelchair battle,Save the Last Dance and Dude, Where's My Car spoofs).
