This could contain spoilers

This movie was supposed to be called H8 (hate)

For those who don't know the plot, Halloween 8 follows the adventures of six Haddonfield College students who have been selected by a brash Netcaster to spend Halloween night in the childhood home of Michael Myers. As they explore the house, they are all equipped with tiny digital video cameras that broadcast directly to the web. A high school student who has a crush on one of the girls goes to a Halloween party but soon finds himself alone in the den watching the webcast.

Busta Rhymes is said to have a lead roll in the film as a guy named, Freddy. They're also aiming for a Halloween release for this film.

So Michael Myers is now a ghost?

I also heard this movie will not acknowledge H2o. That could be a good thing.

This movie sounds really horrible. Too much like the MTV Fear Factor show. I think that is the name or is it just Fear? I don't watch MTV. I just know of the show.

The way I've been hearing it, this movie has been reworked and resurrected more times than The Shape. It started out as Halloween H2K: Evil Never Dies, then Hall8ween, and I know for a while it was Halloween: Homecoming, but according to the official site (http://www.dimensionfilms.com/halloweenresurrection/index.html), it is now known as Halloween: Resurrection. Click on the link to see the site.

As for tying this movie in with the continuity of H20, I don't know if they will, but I've heard some rumors about it based on early reviews at online movie news sources. If these rumors are true, or if you haven't seen H20, then below are some MAJOR SPOILERS. Read at your own risk.

Supposedly, the Mike Myers that Jamie Lee Curtis beheaded at the end of H20 was not the real Mike Myers. He was either a decoy that Mike Myers dressed up as himself at the last minute, or it was a copycat killer all along.

I've also heard they were thinking of pushing the release date to 2003 to coincide with the original film's 25th anniversary.

I have a feeling this movie will be a ghost or a copy cat. The guy who is in charge of the webcast may be doing it. Just speculation of course.

I saw the official poster on eBay, and it is Resurrection. The poster is really nice.

I went to the movies today and I saw the poster for this one, and the trailer for Jason X. Everybody's back except Freddy! I don't think I want him though since his story seems to have been tied up pretty nicely once and for all.

I'll probably see it, just to see how it is. I did find a theatrical poster (http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movies/h8.jpg) online though, giving a release date of July 19th.
