ASA is good.. But 2 shows are bringing it down.. Pilot Candidate and Gundam.. They're so bad!! They should switch those 2 with Outlaw Star and Tenchi.. I hate having nothing to do for an hour waiting for some good shows to come.. They also could show 2 episodes oh Yu Yu Hakusho because it always seems short..

WHY?!
In case you forgot, this is Adult Swim, and they're trying to be independent from Toonami.. they just need time to replace Tenchi, OLS, and PC.

Also these shows are just tempory until they get better ASA shows..

yeah guy you need to give it time actually i like gundam i've heard it's sooo horrible but so far it's one of my favorites i've watched PC isn't horrible least it's somethin fresh enjoy what we got would you rather have scooby doo or the flintstones ? (i enjoy both but everyone should understand haha)

God, I would rather have Outlaw Star at 12 than Pilot Canidate. The intro from PC is enoguh to make you not want to watch it. I mean is it just me, or are the words "The Canidate For Goddess" extremely hard to read? Not to mention the bad dubbing and the computer animations looking like crap. Shows like Cowboy Bebop really know how to mix in computer graphics with anime, but pilot canidate doesn't. Meanwhile, Outlaw Star has the gun-toting, pirate-chasing, kung fu-fighting action that we all love.

The only bad show on ASA is Pilot Candidate. In the "Post Your Reviews" thread, I explained why Gundam 0083 is better than PC in a lengthy post so I will not retype it here.
BTW, when Pilot Candidate ends, will it repeat or will there be another show replacing that time slot??
What's the problem with Gundam? Pretty soon it will blow any other ASA show (sans Bebop) away in the action department.
Gundam bad, BattleToad? Shame, shame, BattleToad, shame, shame.

Yes, but, then again, Outlaw Star has had numerous runs on Toonami, and Pilot Candidate is new. While most don't like (ok, despise) Pilot Candidate, it does have fans. Personally, I'd much rather see Outlaw Star than PC as well, but some people wouldn't. And I think that, while the block is awaiting new, more appropriate material, PC has more of a "right" to be there than a show they took from the Toonami bench.
And remember, the series isn't all that long. So, if you really, really don't like it, remember it won't be that long until they replace it with something.

Again, I have no problem with this block since I have never seen these shows. Thanks to Adult Swim Comedy, I am able to see these shows from the beginning and enjoy them properly. I would just like to know what happens when a show's series finale has aired.

Personally my two favorite shows on ASA are Yu Yu Hakusho and Cowboy Bebop. Pilot Candidate should have aired on toonami, its not even close to as good as YYH and CB but its not that bad either. I have patience with a lot of shows though, I recognize that many that start out slow like PC and Gundam 0083 eventually escalate into something really good. Tenchi and Outlaw Star are good, but i've seen them several times, I like that they're on late so that I can watch them if i want, but I can go to bed if i want too.

It's gonna be a long time before AS gets true adult content, if ever. Me, I'd be happy if we just got good shows that weren't geared towards kids (in other words, stuff that isn't dumbed down and is what it is). If you want adult content, watch "The Job" or "24" or Max Bickford (I forget the full title), not CN. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see adult content on the network (prove me wrong CN, prove me wrong), and I don't doubt the medium of animation's ability to do it (see: Grave of the Fireflies) but I sincerely doubt that the kind of audience they attract with ASA or ASC would even watch actually adult content. I'm not sure they'd sit through dramatic or really thoughtful stuff if their idea of introspective is Spike's monologues in CB. I don't think adult content is gonna find an audience if it ever happens.

I have to admit, I don't really like Gundam or PC either, I just watch them to keep ASA's ratings up. I think that if OS and Tenchi were shown with their "adult" content, they would probably be much better thatn Gundam or PC.

What about those of us that watch "24", "The Education of Max Bickford" and also enjoy ASA & ASC (plus Toonami)? I'm 35 and enjoy all of those shows/blocks. I'd love to see an upaging of the AS blocks.

I'd like to see it too, but I don't see AS as using it's adult license to put out more thoughtful and mature stuff as much as using it to put out stuff with more sex/cussing/blood. Don't get me wrong, I want to see it develop more in a seriously adult way, I just don't think it's likely. That's not to say you can't be adult and enjoy it, I just don't think of it as being an inherently adult block. Not yet, anyway.

Adult Swim Action has been the second best programming block since Toonami. The programming is block is very good and not a lot of shows don't need to replace.

Gundam's cool as for PC it could be so much more yet it seems to be a cry in the wrong derction. :(

......I did NOT just hear you compare Candidate for Goddess with Gundam 0083. You can't just make a post yelling out, "This show sucks!" you gotta give a reason.
I was just watching my old 0083 tapes yesterday...
