View Full Version : Nightwing's design in "Titans"

With all the recent talk about a potential new "Titans" series and the hope that Nightwing will be appearing as the leader, it got me thinking about how should he appear in the new series. Personally, I love the John Delaney design for Nightwing (as colored by Harley).

How cool does he look? His hair is very Terry-like, in addition. Even if we don't get a new "Titans" series, it would be nice to see Nightwing show up in "Justice League" eventually, sporting this cool design. What I would really like to see a "Nightwing" animated series, but I won't get my hopes up.

Yeah, I know. Perhaps an appearance in "Justice League"...

Actually, the animated Dick Grayson and Wally West (from what we've seen of Wally so far) are my two favorite characters, so seeing them animated would rule. Since Nightwing is older, we can get Loren Lester back on the voice and we coo.

That design from Mr. Delaney would be my second choice to appear if Nightwing would make an appearance. My first choice for his design would be exactly the design from the comics he has now. It's my favorite Nightwing design since I first layed my eyes on it for the first time. Hopefully, the crew for the new Titans: Animated Series will pick members from the new and old incarnations of the team. I always thought that the old Teen Titans team (Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, etc.) was cool, and if replaced with a few members such as Nightwing, I think this animated series could actually be a hit.

Delaney's design certainly works for me! And I'm not sure if anyone could do the voice as good as Loren Lester. He's always been the voice of Dick Grayson, and I wouldn't want it any other way, he does the job so well! I'd have to say that I'm fond of Flash and Nightwing myself most of all, especially Nighty though. Although it would probably never come in a JL ep, I think it would be great to have Nightwing on it, if even for like a minute. Heck, he wouldn't even need to be seen, just his voice would satisfy me.

I agree - that is probably the slickest design that Nightwing could ever hope for. If TT:TAS comes out I really hope Nightwing is the leader and gets that sweet looking costume.

As did I, but I far rather have this design than the TNBA design. It's nice to have a change and I think the new design would fit him properly.

it would work well in JL to because his design is flasier. than the plane black with a blue bird on his chest

Don't get me wrong, i love that picture... but it doesn't just scream NIGHTWING to me. It's good, but maybe a few tweeks here and there. I think that the hair should be a little longer, and not look so Terry-like (sorry ;) ). But that's just imo.

Nice design, but I don't know how I'd like the series... I never liked Kory much, but i wouldn't mind seeing some of the others...

As long as they shorten the hair and lost the mullet I wouldnt mind if they kept the old costume or gave him a new one. I do like that Delaney has kept the bird while also borrowing a lot from his current comic look, though. Very nice.
