would he still be Batman? I think the answer would be no. I'm the eldest child in my family, with two younger siblings. And I think my personality and mindset has a lot to do with my role as the eldest (and the fact that both my patents are together and present in my life.) If Bruce had two older brothers, or a bunch of younger brothers and sisters, he'd be a different person, with different' priorities (IMO.)

Terry has one little brother and still has his mother. He's is till very much in the brother/son role in the family dispite being batman. Bruce has become Terry's Step-father, in a way. While, Bruce basically raised himself. I have a feeling Alfred was more of a friend than a parent.

Where do you guys fit in in your families and do you think being in the position you're in has much to do with who you are?

i agree with you. i'm the oldest, so i've got the most responsibility of all of us. if bruce was in this situation as i am, i don't think he'd be batman. instead of looking out for a whole city he'd probably concentrate more on his siblings. he sure wouldn't be the world traveller he is today, seeing as he'd have his brother(s) and/or sister(s) tagging along. to me, the only way the whole batman/bruce exsistence works is if he was an only child...

A lot of the reason Bruce became Batman was because his whole family was destroyed. If there were any other survivors, either sibling or parent, then he wouldn't have had such dark feelings. No matter what the case, he still would feel really bad, but he probably wouldn't have become Batman.

one of the elseworld annual stories from a few years back was called "Citizen Wayne" In it Bruce's mother lived. He never became batman, but used the wayne company to help others.

There was this Elseworlds story, I can't remember the name, where Bruce has a younger sister and brother. Whe his parents died they were deeply effected by it. They went on the same glob trotting/training that Batman did, and became Batman, Batgirl, and Robin. I thought that this story was pretty uninspired. I mean, it's just rehashing and adding in a couple things, which isn't the usual Elseworld's style. They throw in bigger twists than this, usually.
