Ahem. Bart in "Bart of Darkness."

OK, try this one (another easy one): "I'm not pouting. I'm mourning. Stupid dead woman."

Homer in "Selma's Choice".

How 'bout this?

"Ah, being a clown sucks. You get kicked by kids, bit by dogs and admired by the elderly."

I think it's pretty easy.

I don't know the titles of the episodes, but it's that the Cat Burglar in the Cat Burglar episode? (I just like that episode when Lisa plays the jug! Heheh)

Another easy one: "Ahhh! Shark boy!"

I don't know the name of the episode (I don't really know the name of any of the episodes, LOL.) But I know it's Homer to Bart. They are both wearing fake shark fins, scaring people at the beach. They both stand in shallow water and Homer is scared by Bart with the fake fin (is it spelldid "fin", or "finn?" Awe, the heel with it.)

My quote:

"My eyes! The goggles do nothing!"

Lonestarr

The one with the cat burglar: "Homer the Vigilante".

"Aaaah! Shark boy!": Homer in "Itchy and Scratchy Land"

The most recent one: Rainier Wolfcastle in "Radioactive Man"

Here's mine:

Here's two of my all time favorites:

Lisa- "Granpa's old radio, wouldn't it be grand to sit around and have a listen" Homer-"Quick turn something on, I'm starting to think!"

and

"To alcohol, the cause of, and solution to, all of lifes problems!"

The alcohol one is when Homer is the Springfield's beer baron during prohibition.

Yeah, Belch nailed it. The other 2 quotes were Bob in the airshow one, and Cecil in "The Bro from another TV show"

Belch's quote has me baffled. It's a great line, tho.

That's Homer to Lisa in the episode where he tries to be a good father. Lisa said, "You'r half-*****ed over parenting is a lot scarier than your half-*****ed underparenting," or something to that effect.

I hope the Mod's don't mind the use of "*****." If it's ok for cable, I think it should be ok for the boards.

Lonestar got the second one; maude flanders says "We're not talking about kissing, we're talkin about S-E-X in front of the C-H-I-L-D-R-E-N." Krusty replies, "What?!?! Sex cauldron? I thought they closed that place down"

the first one is from the episode where homer wants the simpsons and flanders to be friends, so they go out and have a picnic and the simpsons start a food fight. Rod says this to his parents after the food fight. another good quote from that episode is:
Bart: "here have a pixi stick"
Rod and Todd: "we're not allowed to have any sugar"
Bart: "theres no sugar in pixi sticks...."

and the hot pants is the sea captain in the episode where homer is looking for his soulmate. another good quote from that episode:
Homer:"and that talking wolf must've been this talking dog"
Dog: "hey homer, find your soulmate"
Homer: "wait a minute! dogs cant talk"
Dog: "WOOF WOOF"
Homer: "Damn straight!"

um, new quiz question:
"OOH, that monkey's gonna pay"

Jedi Knight

Hmm a hint. I don't know how to do it without totally giving it away, but here's a couple of quotes from that episode:

"Um ... [sobbing] alright, just go ahead and sue me! Everybody else does! The average settlement is $68,000."

"Art isn't just pretty pictures; it's an expression of raw human emotion -- in your case, rage."

Hope that helps. I guess the first one is kinda tough, I just found it kidna funny.

DR. BELCH
07-14-2001, 03:09 PM
That's Homer to Astrid in "Mom and Pop Art" regarding his botched barbecue grill. That's the one where he becomes a great artist, driven by his psychotic rage. Jasper Johns is in that one also.

"I used to be a fat, disgusting slob."

I'm not 100% sure about it, but I believe that's Barney. It's the episode where Grampa Simpson comes up with a formula to cure sexual inadequacy and he takes on Barney as his "example" when Homer leaves.

I'll give an easy one, in case I'm wrong. This is just one of the funniest lines (that I can remember), it should be really easy:

"You said I wouldn't have to touch a drunk if I slept with you!"
"Duffman says a lot of things!"

OK, there's a quote I'm sure was in an original broadcast, but trimmed for syndication (Grr!) Can anyone confirm familiarity with the following exchange:

It's the episode where Troy McClure marries Selma. He walks into the DMV, where Fat Tony and a flunky catch sight of him.

Flunky: "Hey, Fat Tony, ain't dat Troy McClure? I t'ought you said he was dead!"
Fat Tony: "No, you idiot! I said he SLEEPS with the FISHES!"

"WE MEET AGAIN, MR. BOND"

Bart says it to Lisa; all I definanlty know-I say it's from the Hockey eppy or KIDZ NEWZ eppy...

"MARGE, GIMBLE'S LONG GONE..."

Agnes Skinner says this to Marge in the fleet-a-pita and pretzel eppy...
Am I right on both?

Uh....I don't get what you said... :( I guess we need some confirmation to the answers as know one seems to have gotten it...

And my guess for the first quote is the KIDZ NEWZ eppy...

Oh, sorry. But you're right with your guess of "Girly Edition" (the Kidz Newz epp.). Your turn!

BourgeoisBuffoon
09-08-2001, 12:09 AM
Yeah! I was right after all with "Girly Edition!"
Here's my quote:

"AND YES, I REALLY HATE YO-YOS."

Who said it, and who was he being impersonated by? Bonus points on who this was directed too...

Leaping Larry Jojo
09-08-2001, 12:22 AM
Let me play some for once...

That's Bart Simpson impersonating...Woodrow? And with the Gordie Howe pic? In a letter to Crabopple in that episode where he set her up on that joke date. Have to get the name of it...

Govan
09-08-2001, 12:28 AM
That episode is called "Bart the Lover."

But DAMN! I knew that and was too late... Oh well.

EDIT: Anyone know this quote? I know it's Jojo's turn, but I'm just curious. His quote he chooses is the real quote for the next "round," of course. This is just a little side thingy.

"All of us pull a few boners now and then, go off half-cocked, make asses of ourselves. I don't want to be hard on you..."

That cracks me up every time... :)

As I said, you don't have to answer it! I just posted it because I saw it 10 minutes ago and thought it would be funny to post before I forgot it. Plus I'm going away for several months, so I won't be playing this quiz anymore! I just wanted to post it before I left.

BourgeoisBuffoon

Uh...didn't Moe say that to Homer? It was probably an eppy where Homer has just gotten fired from his job, thus I say the eppy "HOMER'S ODDESY"
Am I right...? I hope so...

Lonestarr
09-08-2001, 03:34 PM
That was Ned Flanders to Homer. Todd overheard Homer's blue verbal reaction to his inability to construct a doghouse. The episode was..."Bart the Lover".

"Not my mouth!...is what the kid would say."

Well, unless it has showed up more than once, I'll put to the POTA musical in the one where Troy McClure marries Selma. It's Troy McClure himself who says it.

New quote (keeping with today's scatalogical leitmotif on the AniGen boards  : "Marge! Less artsy, more fartsy!"

Homer to Marge in "THE MYSTERIOUS VOYAGE OF HOMER" eppy, when they enter the chili festival...don't ask me to translate it into the original Spanish title.:p

Here's my quote:

"THE ONLY CASE YOU'VE GOTTEN TO THE BOTTOM OF, IS A CASE OF DONUTS!!"

That one is too easy...

Ok I really think I'm wrong on this one(actually I'm positive) but was it Rex Banner in the prohibition episode?

Jowy Blight
09-09-2001, 01:14 PM
That was Ned Flander yelling at Chief Wiggum, in that episode where he snaped.

Wasn't it "The last case you got to the bottom of was a case malimars(Yeah, I know I spelled it wrong).

BourgeoisBuffoon
09-09-2001, 01:25 PM
Sorry, Robin2099-Jowy is correct once more; it's "HURRICANE NEDDY". As for the food, well, I guess it was that, but I thought I heard donuts...eh, it's the same diff! :D

But Jowy, it's your turn to quote once more. I will try to get it right this time...

He was accused of sexual harassment after pinching a babysitter's bum (actually he was retrieving a gummi candy from her pants), and when he appeared on TV the unscrupulous media jackals looped and redubbed the tape to make him sound like a lecherous slob. Now let's see if I can get one and not bugger it up--
"Ladies and gentlemen, I assure you that most of those sounds are not coming from me!"

BourgeoisBuffoon

Mr. Burns said that on the eppy where he tried to become a famous millionare-specifically in the scene where he is going on to the Howard Stern parody. Man, that was a funny scene...

Here's a hint-Knightboat, the crime-fighting boat, makes an apperance in the eppy...in a movie of Homer's life up to that point.

But they also mention Eli Whitney and Leonardo Da Vinci in that eppy...do these help? :)

Lonestarr
09-15-2001, 10:18 AM
The ep was "The Wizard of Evergreen Terrace". I'm sure that Homer (who said the line) and Marge were in the conversation. And that was really K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider (voice of William Daniels).

"My finger slipped."
"So did mine!"

The ep was "Monty Can't Buy Me Love". The line was "Yeah, and I'm not easily impressed." Homer was telling Burns about how Arthur Fortune (the new billionaire in town) bought two male pandas and got them to mate successfully. Monty then said "That kind of thing impresses people?" Yeah, I know: I'm such a geek.

Anyway,

"I know my shows were pretty bad, but I never tied anyone up and forced them to watch, even though I could've 'cause I'm a big guy, and I'm good with knots."

DR. BELCH

"Bob Dylan wrote a song to keep him in prison!"

This thread is bumped a lot! Is this thread gonna go on forever like the Neverending Post? :)

DR. BELCH
09-24-2001, 01:51 PM
...it wasn't Krusty...this episode aired in the last season...and it was a Marge-focused epidode. To be honest I can't remember what happened in this one because my reception was abominable, and I'm hoping they'll rerun it soon so I can see it without having to peer through snow trying to piece together the plot from just dialogue. But this quote stands out because I'm a Dylan fan.

That was the voice of an announcer at a prison rodeo in "Pokey Mom", referring to a convict that marge discovered had an aptitude for art and took him in.
All right--a different, hopefully easier quote:

-What's Santa's Little Helper doing to that dog?

OK, I'm pretty sure that's Lisa and Bart (respectively) in the one where Burns steals the puppies.

okay...I believe Maxie's is by Bart's evil twin in that Halloween ep. with Bart's twin who lives in the attic.

Kiddie's was from when McBain played Radioactive Man and was covered with the acid. I can't remember Kiddie's second one though, so whoever gets that one can put up the next quote.

My guess...is it's from when Homer went to Japan. Maybe from when they went to the restaurant.
