I don't get the Hal Jordan thing. If he is dead, then how is he the Spectre? And how was he in Green Arrow?

The Spectre is the spirit of wrath. "Spirit" is a word meaning "Ghost". Therefore, Hal is a ghost, meaning that he's dead.

Doesn't mean that he isn't walking around and talking, but he's dead, just the same.
