What did everyone think of this mornings ep of The Zeta Project. I'll bring in my opinions...but you guys go first.

This was a very good ep. The colors look shiner this season, at least to me they do.

A very promising start. If things go well, Season 2 may come out on top, and lead to a bright future for this show. I missed the season premiere, but this episode was really good. And for once, a good plot was told, with just the right amount of action. The only thing that still erks me about the show is that Wes character. He's so annoying! You'd think he'd be kicked out of the team by now!
Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, good episode. I hope part 2 brings out the same (if not a better) quality. :)
BTW, did you see Ro's face when she saw the wall full of her photos? And then when that kid came up on screen warning her about him? LOL, they're moving into some more 'adult' themes. I like. I bit more stuble than BB, but I like it. :D

I'm not a fan of this show, but I still watch it every week.
The fat guy (I couldn't hear his name at all) and Ro's scenes were interesting. While the other hackers were talking about the fat guy taking care of Ro, she's whacking him with that stick thing.
If the WB promos hadn't included the girl hacker's "Let's take him apart," I probably would've been more surprised. But I blame the WB for that. It was a nice twist in the story as was Zeta's capture.
West is a moron. He was funny at the beginning. Now he's just a moron. I did like it when Rush (?) said, "I'll move faster without him." To which Bennet replied, "So will we."
For me, it was just like another episode, but it had its moments.

The animation has really improved, even though it's going to take some getting used to. I'm so glad they changed Bucky's look! I hope they develop Rush's character more, because so far I like Lee better. Really good episode, lots of suspense, but not as much as Absolute Zero. And about the obsessed fans... We're not that obsessed, are we? ;)

The first true second season episode (last week was the finale of season one) was pretty good. I liked Bucky's role of tech advisor, although I do think that they changed his voice actor. I was hoping they would make West a more competent character this season. There are ways of making him boorish, funny, and unlucky without making him look like an idiot (use Agent J on MIB as an example even though they did cross the line sometimes, especially past season three of MIB). He's a FBI agent and you have to be pretty intelligent to be one. I was hoping they would provide some conflict with him by rejecting the help of his new partner which leads him to situations where he is over his head, instead of making him the "village idiot." Oh well, you can't have everything.
I'm looking forward to the continuation next week.

Or he could have gotten in through family connections. It happens.

Yeah, West is Bennet's boss's brother-in-law...that's why Bennet continues to put up with him.
Personally, West is one of my favorite characters...I think all of the scenes with him are really funny. :)
After watching "Wired" a couple of times, I decided I really liked the episode. I'm not sure if I like the new animation, but I probably just have to get used to it...

They did. His season 1 voice actor was Ulysses Cuarda, and the new one is Blayn Barbosa.

i finally got to watch this episode and I thought it was a really good episode. The suspense about what's going to happen with Zeta is good and the point where they stopped actually leaves it as a true cliffhanger. I am really liking Zeta's new look in true form but his new hair style may take some getting used to.
I also had to laugh at Ro giving the fat kid a beating. I hope that the rest of season 2 improves upon the steps that this first episode took. With any luck WB will realize they have two more great shows that need re-newed - mainly Zeta and Static Shock.

Well, this was not anything like my favorite eps of BB, but i'd say this last Zeta alone was better than the entire first season. I'm surprised to say that this show is looking up. I actually am looking forward to the conclusion. It still had its flaws, but it's becoming pretty enjoyable :D .

Well with any luck this second season will be more reminescent of BB seeing as how they are going to try and take it a little bit darker and there is the potential one or two of Terry's villains will show up. Should be a fun ride! :D

I don't know how much darker it'll take it either but as long as they continue making the Bureau an actual threat than it should up the pressure on Zeat and Ro. Plus I think that was the most amount of danger Zeta has ever been in - at the hands of a group of kids, nonetheless! Good stuff - can't wait for part two tommorrow.

That's right!! Part Two is on tomorrow...amazing how fast time flies. I can't wait. Isn't Static Shock gonna be a new episode tomorow too?

Ahhh I was looking for this, thanks.
Solid 4.5 on my part, I saw this as perhaps the second or 3rd best episode they'd ever done. I honestly had a huge grin on my face with the last scene between Zeta and Ro I mean Zeta not trusting himself, that whole new device he found within himself. Good stuff. I've been dreaming of an episode like this for the longest while. One of the reasons IMO that it didn't get a perfect 5 is because Zeta could hav been alot more viscious in his reprogramed mode, I mean if he had the laser in his hand why couldn't he of taken a few shots at the agents, the Ro's voice bringing him back thing was good but I think they could have made it a little more convincing (IE maybe him fighting himself or something) Anyway, good ep and I hope to have this season on my consistent "to watch" list.

It was a pretty good episode, but i thought of how when he heard Ro's voice and he slowly got his memory back was kind too simple. And what about that mystery chip in his head that nobody know about? What execty is it? I guess we have to wait to find out about it.
I give it 5 stars

I wish it was made a little more complicated...part one made it seem like the world was gonna end in then on part two, poof!! Every things alright again.

Canceled? Who said anything about Zeta being canceled? I haven't heard anything about that!
I gave this episode a five. It had a great story, a lot of suspense, and amazing animation. The best part was either when Ro tried to convince Bennet that Zee was good, or when Ro's voice pulled him out of killer robot mode. (He did change back a little too fast, but that part was still great!) I can't wait to see how it turns out... After talking to Zeta and hearing Ro's speech, could Bennet be starting to believe that he's changed? What's the module inside Zee's head, and who put it there?
Hopefully, this season will save the series, and the rumor about TZP being canceled isn't true. They can't cancel it after only two seasons! :(

No one really know what's going to happen to The Zeta Project after this season. KidsWB! couldn't put it in its 2002-2003 show lineup because when they released it, Zeta's second season had just started. I think basically they're just waiting to see how the ratings do on this season before deciding whether to continue with the series or not. So far the ratings seem to be doing pretty well, so there may be a chance that Zeta will get a new season. :) I hope so.
Anyway, "Wired pt. 2" has become my new favorite episode. I thought that the story was done really well, had some really great character development, and left a lot of interesting questions that can be answered in future episodes. Yeah, parts of it moved kinda fast, but unfortunately there's only so much they can cram into a twenty minute show.

Eh, i must have set my hopes up too high. I really liked last week's ep, and thought they finally were getting it right. I wasn't really disappointed with this one until the end. It was all too simple. It had a great setup, and the climax was good, but the resolution wasn't very enjoyable.
Still, it's better than anything from last season.

That's what I thought...too simple...still, as was stated by me (on another thread) and others, there's only so much that can fit into a twenty minute show.

I forgot to ask you Imajine...why do you think it's going to take getting used to? (The animation I mean) I thought it was so much better that it just immediatly grew on me...course when I saw the Batman episodes that were brand new on KidsWB! for the first time...that was something that took getting used to. But this, I thought was a good change.
The changes that the Batman: The Animated Series show made were for the worse though...in my opinion...for example...Joker's design...I didn't like...I liked Killer Croc's new design though. But as for this new season of "The Zeta Project." I think it's all just peachy!!

Truthfully I really enjoyed this episode - it now ranks up there as one of my fave Zeta eps. While the Zeta transformation back did seem a little quick I think he was fighting it the entire time he had been walking, not realizing the entire effect of Ro's voice until he had her in his sights.
I'm really hoping that Kids WB realizes that this show has gotten a lot better (and I loved the first season!) and continues with season 3, the same goes with Static Shock!
Side note - Static Shock wasn't on the schedule for 2001-2002 until later on and then it became a late season replacement - part of Kids WB plan of having a new episode of a series on every Saturday, replacing some series in mid-season to put on new episodes of a different one. Hopefully both Static Shock and Zeta Project will see season three (especially after both series second seasons have been overall better than their first seasons).

Ooo, I like that idea. ^_^ It would have been nice if they had shown him fighting it, but unfortunately the show is only twenty minutes long... If it had been longer, I'm sure they would have done more with that scene. Hmm... maybe TZP should be an hour long. ^_~

I'm sorry, I don't know how I missed this the first time! I dunno, something about the animation in "Wired" part 1 made me think I was going to have to get used to it. I guess it was just because I've been drawing the characters in season 1 style so much... but now that I've seen part two, my opinions on the animation have completely changed!! Part two had amazing animation, especially on "evil" Zeta. :D

Thanks! :D I tend to agree that it would have been cool to see Z fighting it more but would that have been proper robot behavior? After all when a computer or something struggles with something you don't hear it screaming for you to make it stop processing stuff. As far as I'm concerned Z was virtually in programmed mode and when he finally saw Ro he was able to flip a switch between his two codes of processing - using the one he had created for himself.
Here's a question tho - what was that chip? Somehow I think the kids that ripped him apart has something to do with it and that we'll be seeing them again before the season is over.
An hour long Zeta! Kids WB listen up! You want higher ratings? Give us Zeta for an hour and Static Shock for an hour every weekday and Saturday morning - I guarantee my gf will hate me but I will find a way to watch this block every day - even if it means moving to an area that carries the WB! If that doesn't work maybe they can give us a Batman Beyond/Zeta DTV.
I know.....I'm dreaming. Hopefully they'll at least give us a third season.

That's kind of how I felt...if there was a live action movie of "The Zeta Project," I kind of expect Zeta to act like he did when he became evil...except not be evil...if you know what I mean...I think a live action Zeta movie would be ausome. They wouldn't even have to go into the "Batman Beyond" thing if they don't want to....and frankly, if they didn't, I'd like it better that way. I kind of think that it's too early for a Batman Beyond live action film.

We don't really know what the chip is yet. Even Bennet and Zee don't know what it is at this point. I doubt that the Wired kids had anything to do with it...the agents kept commenting on how sophisticated it is. Those kids may have been smart, but I don't think they have the ability to make a really complicated chip like that. I'm guessing that the chip is what Dr. Selig put into Zeta at the last minute to give him the conscience that he has. Of course that may be what they want us to think...I think it has the potential for a few interesting plot twists... :p
