I've got a piece I've done. It's about poster board size. Are there any suggestions on what I can use to mail it? I do not want to roll it up and put it in a poster tube. I think that would ruin it.

Has anyone done this? The Joker look's too good to screw up in the mail.

um, if it's poster size, than I can't think of any other wy to mail the thing... if it was smaller, you could stretch it out, back it, and mail it like that..

but if you're afraid of the art being mangled, buy one of those heavyduty tubes at the post office - buy a bigger size so the art can open up a little bit inside.. that's all I got, sorry ^_^;;

Hmmm.... How large IS it----- i mean, dimensions so I can think this out.

If its really large, you can get a tube with a large enough diameter so that its rolled but not to the point where it retains the roll. If it's smaller and it really means a lot--- take it to the UPS and ask them how to package and mail flat artwork. We have a shipping place here in town-- a little place, that specializes in mailing odd things like art.

Also try 'mailboxes etc.'-- theyre like another comp that specializes in mailing.

I'd suggest mailing it like a comic book---- but on a larger scale. Put it in a plastic bag, like a garbage bag (if it's that big) and then between some heavy cardboard. Tape those all around and then put that between some more heavy cardboard. Then wrap it up in Brown paper and ship special through USPS or UPS or another mailing company that can handle the large item.

I think the brown paper idea is what I'm going to go with.

I didn't want to use a tube because I didn't want to roll it or cause damage to the picture.

make sure you pack it between a bunch of tough cardboard---

and when you tape, don't make it look overly taped lol. Don't want them opening it for fear it's a deadly biological weapon. They'd be goofed to find artwork instead lol.
