I am convinced that the music of Batman: TAS is the best collection ever produced for a tv show. I would kill to have some of those songs on mp3.
Currently, I have a lot of mp3s from Mask of the Phantasm and Return of the Joker. I also know that there is a Batman Beyond cd. However, I would like to know if anyone has any of the classic Batman: TAS themes on mp3.
It would be so great to have the Two-Face theme, Clay-Face theme, Joker theme, compilation of music from The Last Laugh, and so on. There is awesome, distinct music in every episode!

Yeah man, it's great too. To tell you the truth, I haven't watched all that much S: TAS. There are still 20 or so episodes that I need to see so it's time for CN to put it back on 5 days a week.

The only other piece of BTAS music that I know of that has been officially released is the opening credits music that Danny Elfman composed. It's on the Toonami soundtrack CD.

I am a huge fan of the B:TAS music, Elfman is so awesome! Shirley Walker too. Don't you wish they had made a CD of the music for sale? They did it for BB, though I think back when B:TAS came out, no one would have bought it. But nowadays I think people would! If Napster was still up, I'd say you could find some music there, otherwise try whatever other sites there are like that out there, and I know there are tons.

Hey didn't Elfman do music for the bat movies too? (live action)
Just wondering... :D

I remember hearing that the idea of giving individual characters specific musical themes came from opera. There--you've learned it, but you can't unlearn it.
:p
Seriously, I'd like to release the individual themes of the Batman and Superman characters on disk. It's unfair that only Batman Beyond got a CD!

Just wondering... :D Yeah,he did the music for the first two Tim Burton movies. I actually liked his Batman theme more than walker's. His just sounded more epic, yet also more sad. (He was also one of the few guys, other than Sam Hamm, who consistently read Batman comic-books.)

...the Latin words to the piece used in Mask of the Phantasm. :D
I wouldn't mind buying a Batman: TAS CD either. It would add immensely to my compilation at home.

Actually, the chanting in MOP is actually the crew's name pronounced backwards.
But it sounded great, very dark, chilling, & haunting

I tried to run it backwards and I can't recognise any names

Walker didn't do ever score for every episode, though she was the music supervisor on the ones she didn't do. The themes she created for each character were used as a base and then the rest went from there.
