I'm going to LOVE Boomerang this month.

Is this new content? Or have they done this exact schedule before?

WOW, Rocky and Bullwinkle man that's a great to see on boomerang. Actually has it ever been on before or am i forgetting at least.

Also i am suprised to see the list come out so early this time.

Wow... would you look at that; some variety on the Boomerang schedule. Maybe that new VP of scheduling Turner hired back in July (Ryan Adams) is finally showing this poor channel some love for a change.

It could still be better (we'll have to see what the rest of the month offers before we get too ahead of ourselves)... but this is at least a start. I can't remember the last time Rocky & Bullwinkle aired on Boom.

I can guess why the Scooby marathons are on the schedule; one: Halloween is in October so maybe Boomerang has decided to do Scooberang again, if so I am ecstatic; as a huge Scooby fan(who's cable system has Boomerang) I am looking forward to this if it is true; two: I wonder if Cartoon Network will debut the new Scooby live action movie one of those two days? cross promotion perhaps? marathon of Scooby cartoons on Boomerang and then live action movie on CN? Hmmm...

I do have some beefs with these marathons though; while it's nice to see the New Scooby Doo Mysteries and Scooby Doo show on there, what about the 1983 Scooby and Scrappy shows? or what about the 1979-82 Scooby and Scrappy shows? what about the three syndicated movies? I mean I like the marathons but there could be a bigger variety of episodes and shows then this

Also, on the Rocky and Bullwinkle thing; I hope this is true, because my parents are big Rocky and Bullwinkle fans, although didn't RTV pick up Rocky and Bullwinkle a while back? Just wondering, all good news though if these things do appear on Boomerang

It's cool that Rocky & Bullwinkle are back on Boomerang. Heck, the last I remember, Nick had the rights, and let them slip, and it'd been reported that this was also on WGN America, which most of us in the Northeast can't get.

October should be a showcase not only for Scooby, whom the executives at CN/Boomerang have obsessed over for years, but other H-B/Ruby-Spears mysteries as well.

Snowpeck, this is early bird city! We've barely started September, and you've blessed us with October news. Good job!

I don't know why they released October so early.. September was out a little earlier than usual also, but not this early. I don't mind though.

One thing to note about Rocky and Bullwinkle is that FamilyNet just lost the rights. They had been running it (and Underdog) on weekends. So I guess this coincides with that. Too bad Boomerang didn't also pick up Underdog, but I'll take R&B.

R&B has aired on Boomerang before, as have other "Program Exchange" shows such as Garfield. They air on and off over the years, depending on whether Turner wants to license it or when someone else lose the broadcast rights.

Not to say that Boomerang hasn't improved, but how exactly is this a big step for Boomerang. All they did was take out 1 show and add another. Sure they're airing some huge marathons next month, but does that really make October a huge improvement? Anyway, I'm a bit dissapointed to not see Courage turn up this year, since it came last October I had thought it'd return this October also, but I guess since it's on CN it really doesn't matter.

I was never really a fan of Rocky and Bullwinkle, but I'm glad that they're on Boomerang because that gives us hope that more classics may soon follow.

And there's absolutely no reason that Looney Tunes aren't on Boomerang. They should have a permanate place on the schedule just like The Flintstones, Jetsons and Scooby and as many cartoons they have, they should be on atleast 3 times a day.

It is nice to see Rocky & Bullwinkle show up. Is it on WGN America too, though? I hope Dink, the Little Dinosaur wasn't bumped from the schedule for it because I've started DVRing episodes of that and was hoping to catch them all.

Rocky and Bullwinkle *were* on WGN America for a brief time last fall, but have since been canceled.

Yes, I'm glad to see moose and squirrel back on Boomerang also, even if it's in a lousy timeslot. (I did just buy the season 4 DVD box set... still on sale! Only one more season release to go!).

It's nice, but it's just a tiny little baby step. They've been doing the ol' bait 'n' switch act on Boomerang for years now; just because one of the shows just happens to be Rocky & Bullwinkle this time doesn't prove anything to me. Turner's going to have to do a lot more than just drop 1 show and replace it with another to convince me that any significant change is going to happen on Boom.

They should have a permanent place on the schedule just like The Flintstones, Jetsons and Scooby and as many cartoons they have, they should be on at least 3 times a day. There's one little reason why they aren't: a legal stipulation which states that Turner's TV division would have to pay the WB division of Time-Warner a fee in order to run any WB properties on the channel. It's for this same reason that Super Friends and Justice League aren't airing on Boomerang anymore, because Warner Bros. owns the rights to the DC Comics characters. As always, it boils down to money. It's sad, really.

That is wicked awesome with all the Scooby-Doo marathons (heck, it's getting closer to All Hallows Day by the minute) and the resurrection of Rocky and Bullwinkle.
Great Move, Boomerang! :)

If only Eek the Cat, Garfield & Friends, and Life With Louie would return on any network (hyper unlikely at the now).

Heck, it'd be very nice for Boomerang to finally air Tiny Toon Adventures and Animaniacs, if that happened, I'd be very pleased (a bit more likely since it's Time Warner property). :yakko::wakko::dot:

Mandouga

The thing is though, Tiny Toons and Animaniacs would have to air under contract (just like Rocky and Bullwinkle will be) since they're controlled by Warner Bros. Television, and not Turner Entertainment (in other words, Warner Bros. controls those shows directly). This is the same reason why Batman: The Animated Series has been airing on Disney XD.

That would indeed be great, but unfortunately Disney is currently sitting on the Fox Kids library, and they'd rather let those shows collect dust in their vaults than let someone else make money off of them by airing them.

And as mentioned above, the Silver Age WB shows are property of the Warner Bros. half of Turner/Time-Warner, so Turner would have to pay Warner a fee in order to run them on their network just like anyone else. It's for this same reason why Looney Tunes and Superfriends aren't currently airing on Boom.

Garfield and Friends did air on Boomerang for a time, though.

I'm just glad "Secret Squirrel" is still in the line up! The tape I had set to record the show ran out of room right in the middle of one of the episodes (during the "Secret Squirrel" cartoon, darn it!) so hopefully (for me, anyway) it'll stay on until they cycle through again. I'd normally watch these on YouTube, but nearly all the Squiddly Diddly episodes on YouTube have some technical difficulties going on with them.

glad to see Rocky and Bullwinkle returning, but are these times eastern? I am in central and that would mean, if they are eastern, 5:30 AM for R&B. I want to see Moose and Squirrel later, like say 9 AM....

I own three season sets (need to get the 4th, but Best Buy locally doesn't have and I doubt Target has) so its not a huge deal.

Boomerang needs to drop the cartoon network shows (except Powerpuff girls) and bring back more older cartoons. They also need to air the classics like R&B at decent times. :(

I love Rocky & Bullwinkle, but them airing it at 6:30AM doesn't do anything for me. I'm always either at work or headed there at that time during the week, and trying to sleep in on the weekends. They need to air it in the afternoon or evening.

The Flintstones marathon was awesome. I watched a decent amount of it on Saturday and I'll watch some of the Scooby marathons.

Rocky and Bullwinkle *were* on WGN America for a brief time last fall, but have since been canceled.

Not quite. It ran from April 17 to September 19 of 2009.

They showed the following Adventures:
Wossamotta U (season 5)
The Last Angry Moose (2)
Rue Britannia (2)
Bumbling Brothers Circus (5)
Mucho Loma (5)
Pottsylvania Creeper (5)
Ruby Yacht (5)
Bullwinkle’s Testimonial Dinner (5)
The Weather Lady (5)
The Louse on 92nd Street (season 5, removed from schedule after 3 of 6 parts)

Included were many Bullwinkle’s Corner/Mr. Know-it-alls not on the “complete” season 1-3 DVDs, as well as Fractured Fairy Tales: Sweeping Beauty. The Program Exchange logo appeared at the end of every half hour, whatever that means. Considering how long we waited between the season 3 and 4 DVDs, congratulate yourself for your recording prowess.

According to the schedule listed at imdb.com,
10/9: No episode information
10/10: Jet Fuel Formula, Parts 3 & 4: Rocky & Bullwinkle help two moonmen return to the moon.
10/16: Preempted
10/17: Jet Fuel Formula, Parts 5 & 6: Rocky & Bullwinkle help two moonmen return to the moon.

Should we assume this represents a commitment to show all 40 parts of Jet Fuel Formula in 20 half-hours over the next however many weeks? Nah, this is Boomerang, from Cartoon Network.

Unfortunately, the closest thing we have to those shows on Boomerang is "Scooby-Doo's Arabian Nights," which is inferior compared to "Animaniacs" and "Tiny Toon Adventures."

Doesn't Cartoon Network air Scooby though?

Not as much as they used to anymore. They now only air "What's New Scooby-Doo" (one of the worst Scooby-Doo shows ever, IMO) and the new "Scooby-Doo Mystery Inc." (a bit better, but not as good as the pre-1979 shows). In fact, before the new Scooby show premiered, starting in January it seemed that what was once considered a "Scooby-Doo network" was now becoming a "Scooby-free network!" I do wish CN would at least air "A Pup Named Scooby-Doo." It'd give me something to watch regularly on CN (I've already gotten sick of "Tom & Jerry.")

Boomerang is only airing Hole in the Wall temporarily in order to promote the series. This sort of thing has happened before, like when Turner aired Out of Jimmy's Head on Boom for a week to promote the show.

Doesn't Cartoon Network air Scooby though?

There's no law saying that a given CN cartoon can only air on one Turner network at a time. At various times Courage the Cowardly Dog, Teen Titans and The Powerpuff Girls have aired on both CN and Boomerang simultaneously. Heck, Tom & Jerry still airs on both channels to this very day.

Turner owns the broadcasting rights to Scooby, as well as both Cartoon Network and Boomerang. As long as it's something they own, then Turner can air it wherever they want, whenever they want.

Actually, OOJH was on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 or 7:30PM.

Although it's only temporary, I wish Turner would've thrown that to TNT, TruTV or TBS. I mean, Boomerang's a network that's in a few homes, so why put it there in the first place?
