I've heard that everyone from Tom Cruise to Nicholas Cage want to take up the role of Tony Stark. But I will always say that the best actors for movies like this are unknowns or lesser known actors, i.e. Hayden Christiansen in Episode 2 or Toby McGuire in Spiderman

I personally really liked the idea of Nick Cage as Tony Stark. But, thats just me.
