...which Batman show design is your favorite, because his body shape and design, costume look, cowl, colors, etc etc?
just vote for your fav. then post about why you like the one you chose,
Okay, so mine for me is very difficult to choose but either I have to go with either The Batman (because his muscle definition, colors, and cowl are awesome) Justice League Batman, (I like his colors cowl, and sleek design also, plus when I look at cool pics of him I het a nastalgic feeling from when JL first started,) anyways I need some time to think of whether or not it's a tie or if I should just choose just one...
anyways vote and poll away,
(mods if this thread has been done before feel free to do what is neccessary) :)

BTAS with JL in a close second. I love the dark animated feel, and it really sets the tone for Gotham, and Batman's costume design was my favorite in JL.

My favorite will always be The New Batman Adventures design. Not only just the design, but the way he was written, and the way Kevin Conroy voiced him was great. But I also really loved the Red Hood design. That's probably my second favorite overall, but my favorite from the DC animated movies.

My favorite Batman design would also be from TNBA with the same reasons but also I like the completely black cape more than the capes with the blue streaks.

I don't care for the TNBA design because 1) I'm not a fan of just Black and Gray on Batman, as it looks really dull visually and 2) It kind of looks more like just a guy in a suit than BATMAN. I dunno what it is...
Although I like a number of the designs, I loved the Crisis on Two Earths design, mainly because the gray was so dark in it. That sold it for me.

There's to many I like, all for different reasons to choose just one.
Also New Frontier gave Batman two very distinct looks.
So just for fun I will choose, I'm going against the tribe and voting for his New Frontier First-Appearance Detective look.

Also I might have include the B:TAS LotDK episode inspired Sprang & Miller designs as options, since those were very unique animated looks.
And who dosn't love these?

I don't like the short gloves, I think it makes Batman look lame.

I prefer the scalloped gloves, too, but, that aside, I really LOVE this version of Batman.

I just realized that the bat insignia looks weird, which makes me dislike that design even more.
As of right now I really like the Justice Lords Batman design, the grey and black looks really cool.

I voted Justice League because I'm a huge fan of Bob Kane's Batman look around the time he was in "The Monk" storyline.

I'm not feeling TB&TB designs ...I mean, I loved the animated opening to the Adam West Batman TV show (...designs which these very much resemble) ...but, that was when I was 8-years-old ...IMHO, the style is aimed at a younger audience ...I can't see this style character-design carrying the darker/more adult storylines I've loved in the other contemporary animated incarnations of Batman.
BTW ...would'a been cool to be able to pick a "top 3" from the poll ...even TV shows like "...Idol" or "...Got Talent" allow multiple voting ;) ...that way, if you really liked one in particular, you could vote it thrice ...or you could spread the love between 2 or 3 :anime: ...IMO, I think less candidates would look like they're being snubbed and you'd get better/more accurate results.

Er....those aren't from BTBATB, they are from the Dick Sprang inspired segment on TNBA episode Legends of the Dark Knight.

oops ...sorry 'bout that (wipes egg off face :o ) ...thanks for pointing that out KillerMoth ...turns out that soapbox I thought was standing on wasn't there  ...I remember really liking that episode of TNBA (I also remember laughing at there being a lil' bit of a ribbing, possibly, to Joel Schumacher ...?) ...it was a great idea for an episode and well executed. (still wouldn't dig the style for a whole series, tho ;) )

As I see it.. the best Batman animation design belongs to Superman Batman Apocalypse! He's looks more realistic than in Public Enemies and if the added
Neal Adams classic Bat design with the yellow on his chest, it would be how
I would know and grown up knowing the Batman. But that's my opinion.:anime:

That's right he had TWO looks in New Frontier. I loved 'em both honestly.
I voted for Under the Red Hood though. Because it's got a lot of the different things I liked about Batmans look. Especially the Neal Adams-esque look in the flashback stuff.
But the Ears on the cowl and the way the cape hung, and the fit of the boots and gloves. All were awesome for me. That combined with the Batwing, and Batmobile kept reminding me of the '89 Batman movie, which I think really did it for me.
I also like The Batman and B:TB&TB, because it's got this perfect mix of retro 60s and Neal Adams to it.
Plus I prefer the yellow oval emblem. So I'm a sucker for that.

My favorite Batman design would have to be TNBA's. Honestly, the JL's and TB's Batman designs look exactly the same except for the ears, emblem and belt.

As in "The Batman".
How do they look the same?

Overall, my favorite is the Bruce Timm designed Batman, specifically the Justice League one.
Second will have to be the design from Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, though it could be because that was such an awesome movie, or that he owned Darkseid there. :D

My favourite design for the Batman would have to be the DCAU version (the Justice League desig in particular). I really like the long ears and the nice balance of the greys and blacks of his design.
A close second would have to The Batman design, as I like his sleek look and the short ears suits him.
I also like the design of Batman: The Brave & The Bold as the grey, blue and black does make his design more softer and kid-friendly.

TB's?As in "The Batman".How do they look the same?same blue highlighting, slender square-like chin, pronounced muscles, sleek look, etc. TB looks a bit buffer but they really do look similar.

B.tas for me. The atmosphere made it feel unique in a way that no Batman show has managed to retain.
It actually felt like the "Bioshock"(the other way around, I know) game with the art deco design and the old gangster clothes. Sort of feels like an old story and a fairy tale at the same time.
While I like all Batman designs, Btas stands out.

I've always found the Batman Beyond costume pretty damn cool. I just love the idea of an all black Batsuit (minus the red bat insignia ang silver utility belt) being used in a Batman animate series, to me it makes more sense and looks better than the gray/black or gray/blue. Batman is suppose is blend in with the night, and I think thats pretty hard to do if he's in in usual threads (gray/black I can kinda see but blue?). Not only does an all black suit look better at night but it also looks better in the day time, though its rare Batman fights crime during the day it has happened and I always thought the gray threads looked silly especially with blue.
But I also think if Batman was real his suit would definitely be black. I actually wish the Arkham games used a black suit instead of his iconic colors, its just more grounded in reality that way.
The long ears on the Beyond suit also look badass, I also like how the mask completely covers the face not letting anybody having the slightest idea on what his face even looks like. Plus retractable wings/cape is awesome. I really hope WB revisits this universe in animation in the future.
My 2nd favorite design probably goes to The Batman. I admit I didn't like the really short ears at first but they grew on me and it really works well with the design. I also like how the cape looks when its completely draped around Batman, it looks very Dracula like which would no doubt look creepy in reality. Other than that design is definitely more detailed than any of the DCAU designs.
I'd probably place the Red Hood design in 3rd, its the way Batman should have looked in BTAS. Though I do like the Young Justice design a lot too, so I don't know.
I still want them to make a Batman cartoon with an all black suit. It just makes more sense and would make for some nice animation.

The thing with an all black suit in animation is that you'd have to find ways to make it stand out at night and make sure it didn't simply disappear into the shadows. For the night the best answer is to make the night sky more of a dark blue or gray in order to contrast with a black suit. For making it stand out when necessary against shadows I don't have an answer.
