Just a question, I know what Lantz shorts are on the A&C video tapes, but which cartoon is with which movie? Thanks.

Here's the mix for the first eight Abbott & Costello/Woody Woodpecker combos:

-- HERE COME THE CO-EDS: "Chew Chew Baby"
-- HIT THE ICE: "Ration Bored"
-- HOLD THAT GHOST: "Pantry Panic"
-- THE NAUGHTY NINETIES: "The Dippy Diplomat"
-- ONE NIGHT IN THE TROPICS: "Knock Knock"
-- PARDON MY SARONG: "Nutty Pine Cabin" (An Andy Panda Cartoon)
-- THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES: "Fair Weather Fiend"
-- WHO DONE IT?: "Juke Box Jamboree" (Swing Symphony)

Neat that Woody's first appearance in "Knock Knock" is paired with Bud & Lou's first feature.

There are also Woody cartoons on four of A&C's horror movies. They are all repeats from the first group. Those teamings are:

-- ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET FRANKENSTEIN: "Chew Chew Baby"
-- ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET THE INVISIBLE MAN: "Pantry Panic"
-- ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET DR. JEKYLL & MR. HYDE: "The Dippy Diplomat"
-- ABBOTT & COSTELLO MEET THE MUMMY: "Ration Bored"

I'd enjoy seeing more of these. A natural grouping would be a collection of A&C's military comedies (BUCK PRIVATES, IN THE NAVY, KEEP 'EM FLYING, BUCK PRIVATES COME HOME), hopefully with new to video cartoons, like "Woody The Giant Killer". I'd also welcome collections of Lantz's cartunes on DVD & VHS.

I believe there were some black & white Lantz shorts on some Buck Jones videos from MCA/Universal.

Abbott & Costello briefly met the Creature From the Black Lagoon on the Colgate Comedy Hour

I think it's a good thing that Universal/MCA has put out several of the Walter Lantz cartoons on the "Abbott & Costello series, but I still think that MCA should just outright release the entire Lantz cartoons on video/dvd instead of just putting them on a collectors comedy set.
You would think that with Lantz's career with Universal (over 45 years) that MCA would do a much better job releasing the entire Lantz cartoons on video/dvd.I don't think this gives(the fans) Walter Lantz the respect he so truly deserves from the studio.

Bring on:
OSWALD THE RABBIT, ANDY PANDA, WOODY WOODPECKER, CHILLY WILLY, DOC. SWING SYMPHONIES ...

It' about time for

Too bad. With all the Woodys available, why'd they have to duplicate titles? I guess it's cool they did it in the first place, although not on the DVDs for some reason.

I'd love to see an all Cartune DVD from Universal!
