Can you still search for posts from 2001, 2002, etc.?

I remember that a while back TZ would allow you to search for really old posts from the early 2000s, etc. Can that still be done?

You know, you could have just attempted a search and found out that yes, it does work.

Now there's no "Search by specific year" option, so you may have to slog through a number of pages to find what you're looking for, but the entire forum is fully indexed back to the original posts.

Under "Edit Options", there's an option for thread cut-off. You'll want to make that say "Show all threads", if you haven't already.

Additionally, under the advanced search page, there's an option to sort posts by Ascending Order, which makes the oldest results come first. It's not searching by year, but it's something.
