Gang -

for those who don't remember, there was a time when we (or at least many of the boomers) were trying to ridicule racist crap out of existence. (remember, this was long before P.C.)

While I am not about to quote the songs here (honkies like me can no longer use 'the N-word'), it may be enlightening for the gen X (and gen Next) folks to listen to the soundtrack from 'Hair'
(the original (1968) - god knows what has been done to any remake/re-mixes).

esp.: "I'm Black" (a catalog of derogatory terms for 'black') and "Three-Five-Zero-Zero"

WARNING: Some of the songs contain sexual terminlogy which I would advise younger (under 10) folks to avoid.
(then again, if one is under 10, one is not likely to be able to find this album, and I'm not listing titles, so Napster ain't going to help)

You know, depending on your location (I'm originally from the New Orleans area) you could see cartoons such as Uncle Tom's Cabana, Half Pint Pygmy, Swing Social, the MGM Boskos (!) and many others as late as the mid 80s on locally produced programs. This is no joke. Unless I imagined the songs "There ain't no spooks, there ain't no spooks" or "Easter time is the time for eggs and the time for eggs is Easter time."
