Tonight at 9:30 EST, there's the episode of Door to Door and FBI Warning of Doom where Door to Door will most likely be edited due to a scene of New York City. Comment here about these episodes.

"Whhyyyyyyyy iz hiz head so Big? Whyizhizheadso Big?"

Tha Gangsta Spector of Defeat!

OKay I just watched it AGAIN.
Was it just me or was the lip sync off in FBI warning of Doom, in the dungeon, when Zim is giving his big speech, It always looks horribly off.

Also I was curious was this edited? Looked the same as the Austrailian version I've watched, Stature of LIberty was there and everything.

Uhg, I feel l ike I ate some of those candy bars. Lesson here ramen Noodles=Sawdust.

"Yaaaaay I'm gonna be sick!"

Surprisingly, it doesnt seem like anything was edited. I watched the original side to side with the TV, so i didnt notice any differences. I am happy that it was untouched, but im mad at myself for, again, believing things i hear in message boards totally (hal the time, its just someone's opinion, not fact) If im wrong, let me know.

My Question is what was wrong with the episode oin the first place that it couldn't be aired ?

BTW these were a GREAT Episodes.

Likewise, I think people overreact and assume the worse in this type of situation, but given TV Network's, Hollywood, whoever's reactions in the past it's hard to given them credit for anything, especially Nickelodeon, who's done some lame things before.

The only thing in the episode that tied it to NY (the destuction, when Zim is forcing the people to see the horrible future.....) was that little shot of the Statue of Liberty, while I missed completely the first time I wastched the episode. In fact it may heve been the quality but it wasn't completely apparent until I saw it lon tv.

All in all, I'm happy Nick surprised everyone by NOT editing it, but the pushed it off which might have been justified. i'm not sure what the original airdate was supposed to be.

Is Tak nexy week?

Actually, they DID edit it.

They forced the Zim staff to reanimate a whole scene.

But they ended up showing the original scene anyway. I'm sure Steve Ressel's fuming somewhere..

FINALLY some good new ZIM to watch. Ahhh...watching it last night was like a good old memory being relived(I didn't catch the new ZIM last week...).

Anyway...'Door to Door' was good, funny, gave me a good laugh here & there. It surely wasn't the best ZIM, but it was good enough to watch over & over again.
FBI Warning of DOOM! on the other hand...I was laughing throughout the entire thing. I Loved it! It was fabulous! "A Warning?! What Warning? FBI? Whats the FBI!?"
"The FBI is a...uhm...government organization...started by...uhh...Demons! Uhm....made..to...uhm...fight aliens?"

That's right, fuel Zim's paranoia. "FBI Warning of Doom" was a little strange and disturbing because of the zombie angle...and I couldn't figure out who that Slab guy was supposed to be (possibly a Nick Fury parody, was my guess). Plus the word "poop" was thrown around quite a bit--the candy bar mascot, Gir's popcorn bag, the movie creds. Gir spitting up on Zim was a highlight. "That's the sawdust." Loved also Dib's "I haven't even done anything to you yet" line--though he didn't do much in the short, really. And no Gaz. :( I was hoping to see her playing perky salesgirl to unload those crappy candy bars--that would've just made it for me. :) "And here's your consolation prize--a can of tuna."

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..... Why?!

I mean Battle of the Planets is great, Best Prof. Membrane yet. I just want some new Zim-age I haven't seen. Well I guess Battle of the Planets is entirely worth watching because of that scene with the Prof.

Poop dogs is the Best!

"Begone Gangsta of Defeat!"
Hallucinations are the best. And re: Dib's "I haven't done anything to you yet" line, how much does Gir weigh, Zim chucked him at Dib and Dib looked to be in immense pain, like his arm was broken or something.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY, I'M GONNA BE SICK!!!

More great Zim, and now I actually have the priveledge of watching them on T.V. instead of my crappy computer. Door to Door was my favorite ep of the two, but FBI Warning of Doom has the (now) classic line about the FBI.

"Founded in 1492 by... uh... Demons, the FBI is a government agency created to... I dunno... fight... aliens?"

OK, then. Now I have two questions:
1) What did they change it to?
2) Will they show the edited version from now on when they rerun it, or will it be the unedited, "international" version?

Steve said this about the changed sequence:

"Its a horrible scene with a mutant cat, a run away human, several herding mutants leading human slaves past the destroyed school as Irkens look on.....it was a horrible replacement that was written like crap and had no decent value whatsoever. I was told to ‘make it funny’ but keep it near the same length and have it tell more story then the original but with little or no destruction- it was an impossibility that looks like a crappy patch."

I'm glad that they kept the original sequence. ^_^
