Why isn't this classic airing somewhere during the Summer? Seriously, this should be a Summer staple. I'm not just talking about it airing on Boom, but why isn't it on either HBO Family or ABC Family which do, on occassion, show "A Boy Named Charlie Brown" and Snoopy Come Home." I'm probably in the minority, but Race for your Life may be my favorite Peanuts movie. I have great memories of watching it as a kid.

How did I miss that? If it airs again, keep me posted.

The question is why isn't this on DVD yet? Paramount still owns the rights and have partnerships with Lionsgate and Olive Films, not to mention this year being the Peanuts' 60th Anniversary.

Good question. AFAIK, only the first two features have been released on DVD. What is strange is, the first two features are owned by CBS, which currently has their DVD rights handled by Paramount, which is why the DVD releases of these films are on the Paramount Home Video label. Therefore, it is confusing why the latter two, which are owned outright by Paramount aren't on DVD. The issue certainly can't be ownership.

I have a feeling if Mall of America still had the park be "Camp Snoopy", we might have heard something more about the Peanuts 60th. I think they had a year-long celebration for their 50th. Since they re-did it for Nickelodeon, it's not the same. Some people still call it "Camp Snoopy" anyways.

I'm not sure about HBO Family, but I think that ABC Family only shows those two Peanuts movies for their Countdown to the Twenty-Five Days of Christmas specials. At least, that's the only times I've seen it on the channel.
It would be cool to have Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown to air more often during the summer. While it isn't my favorite Peanuts movie, that would be Snoopy Come Home, it is a pretty fun movie that's perfect for summer time due to the summer camp setting. I'd like to see "So Long, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!)" air on TV as well since I remember liking the traveling and seeing the characters in a different environment for a change. Plus, it had a bit of a mysterious flair with its storyline.
