Once again, the classic theatrical animation class on Popeye at my school was successful! Only downside of it was that 8 people came, and they were all "geeks."

Don't wanna sound harsh. But, anyway, I had my doubts. I've decided to hold another afterschool class. What do you people think it should be about?

How about teaching these 'geeks' as to how to watch some cartoons in their proper historical context? Explain how some films that are considered 'racist' today weren't when they were initially released?

Speedy would be a good, and topical subject now. You could show the Acadamy Award nominated films and talk about what CN thinks is objectionable about the shorts, and explain why they aren't racist, nor were they ever intended as that way.

You could also show one of the better Depatie/Freleng shorts and explain how budget cuts hampered the quality of the WB cartoons as the years went on.

I would love to show Speedy, but the problem is, I don't have any Speedy cartoons except "Cat-Tails for Two!"

Success must mean that the school accepted it.

Is 8 people a little or a lot? :really doesn't know but could take a guess:
