Last episode
Masahiko, the ghost of a patissier, cannot pass on because he is worried about leaving behind his younger brother Toshihiko. Yoshimori meets with Toshihiko and tells him about his older brother, but is not taken seriously. To help the two brothers, Yoshimori decides to bake the same cake from the brothers’ childhood memories.

Was I the only one bugged by how long they just sat there with the Ayakashi in the barrier without bothering to destroy it? I mean, in time time it takes to charge that ice attack, all they had to do was say "metsu", and it would've all been over. And it's not just Yoshimori trying to prove how resistant his barrier is, either, since Tokine did the exact same thing when she snipped it.

Neither do I, but if so I think it was to encourage him to get stronger. So some tough love, Rukia did the same to Ichigo after his first fight with the Arrancars.

Though as far as the love interests are concerned, I like Winry better.

Yeah, it's pretty cliche, but will still be Crowning Moment Of Awesome (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/CrowningMomentOfAwesome). Starting to grow on this series. We shall see next week.

Well, this is the first episode of this series I really liked. (I kinda liked the one about the girl and her pet demon. Kinda). The humor really worked for me, and I even liked the shippy stuff. I'll keep watching.

It was better than last week, but still smelled like filler.

I thought that this was an okay episode. The grandfather was still annoying, though not as much as usual, and kind of mean to Yoshimori about his training skills and making it harder for him. Most everyone seems to give Yoshimori a hard time and yet he still gets his job done. Maybe that's why I find him more likable than Tokine. Anyway, I thought that running into the illegally parked car bit was pretty funny.

Despite my love for Pokemon, I did not see the Ice Fox or any of the attacks similar to Glaceon. Maybe I was just too tired at that point to make connections to other series, but in retrospect, those Pokemon references here do make sense. I thought that they really dragged out the whole battle with this monster. I was expecting Yoshimori to destroy it right after he stopped it from jumping around. It just seemed a bit odd to just sit there as the Ice Fox was preparing its attack.

Of course, Yoshimori gets to save Tokine and we get another clearly obvious hint that he has a crush on her. Despite the way she acts as if she is better than Yoshimori, Tokine gets rescued by him quite often and he also tends to get his work done when he needs to. At least she admitted to herself that he has strength and endurance that she doesn't have, so that helped her to come off as less annoying to me during this episode. The whole desire to become stronger still feels pretty cliche/typical for this kind of show, but at least Yoshimori's desire to protect Tokine can be seen as kind of cute as well as cliche/typical. Too bad that I still don't like Tokine that much. The ending with Yoshimori crushing the rock, and yet not causing a big disturbance with the whole neighborhood, was expected, but at least he proved to his grandfather that he could do it.

Overall, it was okay. I still don't think that last week's episode was that bad, but I do admit that this is a slight improvement. Hopefully, I'll be more interested in the series when the plot starts to kick in.

After last week's episode, it's best that he stays away from the idea of cake at the moment, although his concentration skills still need work.

Yeah that also annoyed me tell the truth I could understand if the thing shot the attack and broke threw but the thing took five minutes of charging up an ice shot it made no sense. The only thing I could gather was they cant kill it while its charging an attack but normally they explain those things right away when it needs to be explained. I think this was one of those times where they just forgot the rules for the sake of the story.
