"WWE Money in the Bank" 2010 Prediction Thread

Money in the Bank, WWE's third new event in three months comes your way this Sunday. Make your predictions by 7 p.m. EDT and do not edit them after that time.

Money in the Bank has seven scheduled matches, so everyone's total will be out of seven. If you refuse to pick on principle, Kippy has no clue who you want, or you just plain miss it, you will get it wrong.

Remember, matches announced after the thread has been posted will not be counted. There is no reason to predict a match that is announced Saturday as there will be no points awarded.

Kelly over Layla. It's time to stop the high school taunts. Every time Team LayMeOut targets someone, they (LayCool) lose the gold. It will be no different.
Ziggler wins Money in the Bank. Why else to have Piggy Guerrero managing him now if they didn't think he was ready for a main event level push?

1. The Miz wins Raw Money in the Bank. MITB's more of a heel thing, I've got a face for the SD MITB, and Evan Bourne would be my second choice but I think it's a little quick. Miz's schtick is taking a new turn so I think MITB is appropriate.
2. Christian wins Smackdown Money in the Bank. An eye-roller probably, but I'm having trouble seeing any of the other guys winning. McIntyre maybe, Cody Rhodes maybe, but that's it.
3. John Cena wins the WWE Championship. This is really going out on a limb here, but I think we're getting Cena/Barett for SummerSlam, and that's got to be for the title. I could be way off-base here though.
4. Rey Mysterio wins and retains the World Heavyweight Championship. Odds are stacked against him so you know the drill. Could see the SD MITB get cashed in on him after the match, though, and he loses the title that way.
5. The Hart Dynasty wins and retains the Unified Tag Team Championship. No chance in hell for the Usos.
6. Kelly Kelly wins the Women's Championship. Again, going out on a limb here, but I think it's time for the Lay-Cool angle to take another turn. And I don't think we'd get two Diva title matches if both had the champ retain.
7. Alicia Fox wins and retains the Diva's Championship. Seems fairly obvious.

1. Randy Orton. This is a tough choice between him and Edge but, since Orton jobbed to Edge and ended up getting momentum because of the RKO on Evan Bourne, I'll go with Orton.

2. Drew McIntyre. I see McIntyre getting a push like Swagger got after Wrestlemania.

3. Sheamus. It's too early for Cena to get the title back.

I think you're missing a point, Mumbo. It was announced on Raw that Nexus can't challenge for any titles until October, so the earliest Barrett can get a title match would be Hell in a Cell in early October. They have to continue to piece it together up to that point, especially with Triple H on the DL (bicep).

By process of elimination I'm going with The Miz. I don't believe Orton, Jericho, or Edge need the MitB to be top tier contenders. I think Bourne and DiBiase are still a bit young to win it. When was the last time Henry won at a PPV? That leaves Morrison and The Miz, and they always seem to put The Miz over Morrison.

Christian. I think Show and Kane don't need it. Hardy is one the WWE will never move up to a top tier wrestler. I don't think Kofi will win it unless they have plans for him to lose the IC in the near future, and Rhodes, McIntyre, and Ziggler are both a bit early in their careers to win it.

I believe it will go down like this

WWE Title - Steel Cage Match - Sheamus vs John Cena - Winner: Sheamus. Sheamus has to win for a variety of reasons. He needs to have one credible win over Cena, Cena kinda buried him on the mic last week, and Cena needs to feud with Nexus with either Sheamus turning face or joining Nexus.

World Heavyweight Title - Rey Mysterio vs Jack Swagger - Winner: Rey Mysterio. It was too soon to take it off Jack but since they did it's too soon to take it off Rey. It'll continue to build Jack's more intense side while it also let's Rey be a credible champ.

Raw Money in the Bank Match - Winner: Orton. Discussed with my brother on this. We feel it's a toss up between him or Edge. Mark Henry is the obviously not winning by being Mark Henry. Evan Bourne it's way too soon, John Morrison and Teddy have no business being near a title at the moment let alone the world title, I feel the Miz is on too much of a roll and that he won't win for that reason, also he has the US title and it'd be wise to have him actually have a few programs with it. Edge and Orton haven't done much in recent months but Orton is the hotter act so I'm going with him.

SD! Money in the Bank Match - Winner: Christian. I'm using my brother's pick as I can't really decide on this. Show and Kane aren't winning because they are big men, Cody and Dolph see my last post when talking about JoMo and Ted, Kofi for the same reasons as the Miz but with less momentum, Drew I feel it's too soon but he certainly came in second. And Matt...well I think Matt has a good chance based off what he said and I can buy him being the first guy to lose Money and the bank title shot.

Tag Titles - Hart Dynasty vs the Usos - Winner: Who cares:p, seriously though the Harts. Usos had barely any cred last month than lost all of it at Fatal Four Way.

Divas title Match - Alicia Fox vs Eve - Winner: Same as the Tag Titles..ok Alicia Fox. Eve is bland and I see no reason for her to get it back from another bland heel.

Women's Title match - Layla vs Kelly - Winner:....another one!?...uh..Layla because I assume McCool will interfere and make Kelly chase for a bit.

Kane winning and then cashing in his contract on the same show was a bit of a surprise. I guess they really wanted to get Kane to be the star in the spotlight when it comes to tracking down his brothers attacker. I smell new TWE Tag Team Champs and possibly a swing of the IC Title in the near future with this PPV.
