I thought it was pretty good, but definitely NOT great. Talia's involvement was a nice touch but didn't make much sense to me. And I was very puzzled by the huge amount of "silent pages". Can't Batman and Freeze talk while they fight? Or at least Robin could pop up and speak for god's sake. Ty the Guy knew how to handle fights without resorting to huge pannels with no lines in them.
Oh, and the way Freeze's story was related seemed pretty lame to me. Freeze is on the loose, Batman is badly hurt and still he finds some time to tell Robin and Al a story they have already heard thousands of times.

Peterson, please please leave the book!!

Otherwise Tim Levins' art impressed me to say the least. His Batman looked particularly outstanding at times. And he did a great work on Freeze as well.

Hos Batman was very nice this month. Maybe he's finally listening to my endless whining and complaints. :) It seemed to me like there was more to this story, but Peterson just wouldn't tell us. This could've madea great epic-esque story involving another attempt to fix the word, Ra's style. Instead, we get a quick 8 minute read (for me, anyways). Puckett and Peterson balanced talking and fighting perfectly. Man, I miss those stories. Hoppefully issue #50 will warrant a creative team change. And hopefully it'll be double-sized. I was dissapointed at issue #25's normal format when the two previous Bat-titles had double sized 25th issues.

Compared to the last 3 this book was pretty good. It wasn't great but it was good. Mr. Freeze looked good and I was glad to see Alfred in it a little more. I am just looking foward to the return of Two Face.:)

Y'Know, Talia doesn't look very much like Talia, of course this isn't Levin's fault. It's his style. It'sa good style but she seemed a bit out of place, artwise. I was hoping he's stay more on model with her. I thought this issue was sorta mediocre like the rest of the recent issues. Man, I hope the writing slump on this title it broken sometime soon...

This issue wasn't as good as I expected but it was enough to make me keep collecting this title.

I thought this issue was terrible.
Freeze was written totally off character in my opinion. I couldnt comprehend that a man frozen to emotion would try and destroy the world because of a boyhood crush on Talia.
New writer please.

right combo of characters, just not as strong a story as it could be. i've always thought it would be cool if freeze and ra's teamed up against the dark knight. don't get me wrong, i liked this issue, but it could have been so much more... and levins continues to impress me. those couple of frames with bruce's face looked really good, not so much as it used to...

I watched a TNBA episode tonite and I didn't realize just how "off" Levin's Batman is. No offense to the guy, he's a great artist, but his Batman is just really off. I also found that "crush" thing so completely...wrong. He should still be doing this for Nora, his one true love. This story could've been an epic two parter, and I'm suprised the premise wasn't thought of before. Peterson just crapped out.

Yeah, this issue was pretty bad. Freeze's crush on Talia was ridiculous. If the guy has no emotions, then how could he possibly have a crush on someone? The only good thing about this issue was the art. One thing I don't get, Batman said he smelled a distinct scent, but I don't think Peterson explained what the scent was. Could someone fill me in? Anyways, I hope Two-Face's return is better than this crap.

See ya!

I think that scent was supposed to be Talia's perfume or something, but Peterson should've expanded on that a bit more, rathar than let readers guess. The art was good, yeah, but Levin's Batman doesn't look like the TNBA that much anymore...

The TNBA version of Batman I thought was a great revamp of the character! I just like how stylized it is. The comic version just doesn't look right anymore. I dunno why, but his face look all wrong. It's not squared off right.Levins is a great talent, but, like every artist, still needs to work on it abit.

I got this comic a little late but I thought that it was a good story but where was Ra's I mean where Talia is normaly he is or does issue take into events with STAS episode "Demon Reborn"?

It should! Ra's would be huge and all bulke dup. I noticed that the comic sometimes doesn't aknowledge the events of the animated series sometimes, and doesn't offer any explainations. I'd like to see events in episode even mentioned qukckly, just to let us know that it still happened.

It is possible Ras' new strength is causing him health problems. A human man isn't ready for a big dose of kryptonian strength. I would think he'd be laid up with heart trouble, and, thus, out of commission for awhile until his system is used to it. In fact, if a man who hadn't had peridic exposure to the Lazarus pit had done such a thing--like Luthor--his heart would have probably burst and killed him instantly. So far Parasite and Ras' are the only men who can take a dose of Supes' strength without dropping dead of an overdose or circulatory strain....

That's a good point. That surgence of power likely could've had a nasty aftereffect after the first rush Ra's got.
