I understand why Lost got a Best Drama nomination, and 24 didn't, but I'm still disappointed by the decision Emmy voters made. 24 IMO had a stronger season, although neither show was at its peak, and Lost was of course a more popular show.

At least Greg Itzin got nominated. If anyone in the cast deserved it, it's him. On the women's side, Cherry Jones was up against strong competition. It's too bad she didn't make the cut. I'll be pulling for Michael Emerson all the way for Best Supporting Actor.

The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien

I hope he wins this. This airing on NBC will only increase the irony:D

I'm very disappointed that Anna Gunn didn't get a nomination for Supporting Actress for Breaking Bad. And I seriously hope Aaron Paul wins this year, but I'm guessing it'll go to one of the Lost guys.

Thank you Emmys for nominating Scrubs in your main categories.

Oh, wait they didn't? Well, they'll never have another chance now since the show went kaput.

I'm glad Christina Hendricks finally gets an Emmy nod. This last season really gave her chance to flesh out character.

I think all the Lost nominations are more for the body of work than the season itself. Think of when Return of the King won so many Oscars.

Pretty standard nominations. Thank God Entourage was shut out of the Best Comedy category, and Survivor really, really should have been in the Best Reality Competition category over Dancing with the Stars at the very least. Not that it matters, as The Amazing Race will win anyway.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the nominations. I'm happy about the various Lost acting nods and it's great to see Friday Night Lights' Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton finally get some attention. As 24 picked up this season, I was calling for Gregory Itzin to be nominated so I'm thrilled to see that.

I am happily shocked at the amount of attention that Glee got. Jane Lynch was the only acting nod I expected to see and they had at least one in every category, including multiple guest stars. I would have expected to see Community at least once in the categories in the first post though. I don't know if he can overcome Jon Cryer this time, but I really want Neil Patrick Harris to win for How I Met Your Mother this year.

For some reason, Survivor's only Emmy win as an entire show was in 2001 for Outstanding Non-Fiction Program, it has never even been nominated for the Reality Show Competition Emmy. This is the third year for the Reality Host and Jeff Probst is the only winner so far. Apparent further proof that he makes that show what it is.

Especially with all that happened, I am thrilled to see The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien nominated for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series. It is the only one of the traditional, network talk shows even nominated. Over on Twitter (http://twitter.com/ConanOBrien), Conan was pleased as well...

Congrats to my staff on 4 Emmy nominations. This bodes well for the future of The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien.
