It is; in fact, other than Glee it was Fox's only "hit" last season.
Granted, I have no idea who's watching it every week.

And with that, the Seth MacFarlane trifecta is complete.
I kinda had a feeling it was going to happen.

Granted, I have no idea who's watching it every week. At least those people who tune in on Sundays to watch the Simpsons and Family Guy.

Oh man so they can put a solid hour block of that on Saturday nights now too. Wow I didn't watch this when it was on Fox (because it was crap) so now I'll be able to catch up. No ... wait I won't do that. This just makes me a sad panda. That said some of the newer FG eps have been pretty good. I ain't got all hate for MacFarlane and his crew.

Oy.
I would rather have Comedy Central get it, but all 3 Seth MacFarlane cartoons on AS seems okay, I guess.
I just wish they would get something that isn't from Fox.

I just wonder when American Dad's going to get a weeknight slot. It's got MORE than enough episodes to fill out a daily rotation.

If they're willing to pick up Futurama but not a Seth MacFarlane show, that has to say a lot about Comedy Central's standards and sense of quality control.

I really didn't get why AS would need till 2013 to start being able to air this show. I mean, American Dad didn't have nearly that sort of wait time. In fact it was airing episodes of it's show initally a week or two after FOX aired them, even from the very beginning of the show's run. Why wouldn't they do the same thing for Cleveland Show that they've been doing for Family Guy or American Dad? Well that's when I saw this.
Turner and Twentieth declined comment on the deal, although it's believed that "Cleveland" fetched around $500,000 an episode.
... Okay I don't know how much Adult Swim had to pay for Family Guy's inital rights but I'm pretty sure the original run of episodes was probably around that price. And that's about 50 episodes, not just one episode for that much. Okay yeah prices have gone up and they're desperatley trying to up the ante on the few popular FOX comedies that get attached to other networks. And I know that FOX Executives don't care that it's only in part thanks to Adult Swim that there is even a Cleveland Show to air in the first place. That still seems incredibley, ridicoulsly expensive for just the rights to reair the shows. I mean, besides the Boondocks, are there even any Adult Swim original shows that actually cost that much to make per episode? I really doubt it. And yet this show is literally going to cost AS millions upon millions just to air it's first season, and by 2013, if it's still on (which it most likley will) there are going to be at least 70 episodes. So literally 35 Million dollars of AS's entire budget will most likley go just for the rights to air the show, let alone having to promote it. If that dosen't say how ridicolous this whole deal is I don't know what will.

Who's to say that Comedy Central didn't bid for the show? They probably got outbid by Turner. Plus, Comedy Central has other shows they picked up for syndication, such as Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, 30 Rock, Sit Down, Shut Up, The Goode Family, etc.

I'm sure TBS and Adult Swim split the costs to air the show. I doubt AS paid 100% for it.
Also, deals like this are common for shows coming to syndication from broadcast or premium networks to cable.

What's AS paying per episode of American Dad? This must mean that Cleveland will get a weeknight slot right out of the gate once it premieres, probably taking one of FG's time slots or even stealing one from King of the Hill.

It reflects positively on the network, IMO.

That does seem like a long time to wait to air reruns..

2013?!
I'd say I would give the show a chance since I never seen it (American Dad is great and it can't possibly be worse then F-Guy Season 4 & Up) but who knows where I'll be 3 years from now
