The Megatron looks sweet

The only problem with the Batman Beyond picture is that he should have cleaned up the solar flare through Joker's head.

Superman, Spiderman, and Nightwing have been colored by Harley, but she hasn't done these two. It would be awesome if she would post some of her new colorings here as well.

Why not put the best JD color pictues in the gallery side by side with the black and white ones, or at least put them in their own gallery, so we can see these excellent pictures easily?

Great job, the color really adds a lot to them...

Harley picked totally different sketches than Phillip, so they are a perfect team, and they are both great colorists (if there is such a word).

Since I was the only other person to color Superman; I have no problem with showing Harley's far superior coloring of Superman. You just gotta see it!

I hope she isn't mad at me. And if anybody hasn't colored Spiderman, Nightwing, Gargoyle, etc. then do so!

I would love for such an awesome idea. And I know John Delaney likes the colorings as he has a colored the Question in his avatar! Right now I only put the colorings in the news post. Harley is the one in charge of the gallary. But here they are for easy reference:

That's a terrific idea. Perhaps a colored picture next to the inked drawing would compliment each other nicely. BTW, nice job on the colored sketches. Beautiful work.

Wow! To all the colorists who colored these pics, thank you so much! Those are some highy-quality works right there, and I hope more come soon.

I want to get a wallpaper size of these pics, so I wanna know if it's possible if someone can resize the pics so that it's bigger, but all the lines are also smooth so it doesn't look pixelated and rough.

Again, good work on the pics, and keep 'em coming! :)

My monitor is set at 800*600, but I'm getting a new computer soon, so if possible, can you do it in 800*600 and something higher? I want the pics to be big, because I also want to print these out. :)

I'm out, so thanks in advance to Harley (or to anyone else that does this) for doing this.

Hey guys and gals - I colorized John's Harley & Ivy drawing. The color job is basic -- mainly flat colors with a few highlights.

Also -- the file size should be no larger than the original black and white image...but it may load slowly if you have a low-speed connection (or because it was stored on an AOL server blah blah blah).

...and here they are -- two Gotham Gals on the run.

You were able to discern swamp from sky! lol I had a problem doing that. Once I started doing green I was like "EVERYTHING SHALL BE GREEN! YAY!" lol

I do wish I could do a reflection thing like you did--- that just blows me away--- it's so--- watery!

It's funny that you should mention that because when I first saw your color job -- I felt like I had just walked into a party and somebody else was wearing the same "outfit" that I had put together.

I tried doing monochrome clothing for the women (orange -- you know -- prison like) but they kept looking like mechanics. I must have got the contrasting blue(s) idea from something I either saw in a movie/TV or something from a comic book.

I also didn't expect anyone else to pick "green" as the color for the water/mud. I swear we must have been on the same train of thought. Heh. The purple sky/fog/mist appeared somewhat by accident -- but I thought it looked cool against all that muck -- so I kept it there.

The reflection thing was sort of a gamble...but I needed something to cover up all that flat dark green -- for the most part it works.

LOL I also thought for a moment about Orange and I was like-- blech! I also for like .2 seconds thought of doing a silly thing with black and white stripes.

I just had to do green swampy gook. It was what I decided on before the clothing. I was on "US Marshalls" mode and thinking "swamps are green... how do i do moss on trees??"

If I were Harley, id opt for NOT having shorts. We can only wonder what nasty things lurk in that grimy water!

I love how the trees came out for you. They were a nightmare and I was like "UGH!" all the way through because theres so much detail in them.

All I see is Tripode logos. http://mistah_j.tripod.com/adm/interstitial/remote.jpg

You might want to use Auction Watch (http://www.auctionwatch.com), Phillip. I can give you step-by-step directions.

1.Go to www.auctionwatch.com

2. There are tabs at the top of www.auctionwatch.com, that go as follows: Home; Auction Manager; Universal Search; Storefronts; Message Center; News & Information; Image Hosting; Customer Service; My Account

3. Click on the Image Hosting (http://www.auctionwatch.com/login.html?ret=%2Fmy%2Fihost%2Findex.html) tab.

4. It has a section "New Users" with a little guy that says "Sign Up Now" (http://www.auctionwatch.com/register1.html).

5. Make an account and read the terms of use.

Now you have a free place to upload your pictures. They just have to be 350K.

Yeah, I've actually done similar pricing on some comic covers I've drawn. When you live in Canada, you get used to paying a lot more for the same thing. (except food) I went to Michigan a few years ago, where at the time, the sales tax was 7% and I told them about having to pay 18% at one point and they were shocked. I recently made an order at Amazon.com (including the paperback of issues 1-6 of The Batman Adventures :D) and the exchange rate was over 60%! Sigh...

You're welcome. I'm trying to put all the colorings in this thread so it will be easier to make a coloring gallary.

Boith colorings are excellent, but I'm gonna say that Harl's manages to pull out as my favorite thanks to the white background, but if she had the eagle colored like Mr. Delaney's it would be perfect.

Yea, that is what it was. The color of the eagle. Thanks MDawg957 I was wondering what it was that I just didn't like about that one.

Thank you. But it was a great drawing to begin with. ;)

I was actually half way done when I saw that you had colored it already. D'oh! So, I went with the original look for the eagle. Didn't want them to look too similar. I do like your brown eagle a lot more. =D

On the Optiumus Prime coloring: Wow. Now THAT is sweet.

On Harley's Kara: Dig it! I like! Her hair has more depth to it than mine, and her suit (especially the white top) looks flat out COOL.

On Harley's Ed: I have no idea who Ed is, but it looks nice nonetheless.

Oh, and another shameless plug. :D

Thanks, and *very* cool on the World's Fowlest, man.

What technique do you use on the Kara pic?

Um...technique? >scratches head< I...uh...color it? :D I use different layers for the different colors (gotta love Photoshop). Then I make one flat color, and from there I just add shading. >shrugs< Not really much to it, I guess. Just really time consuming, as I'm sure you know. :) Thanks, by the way.

Yeah, and if I didn't sprain my hand on Father's Day and didn't have to go through a break up with my girlfriend of two years, it would have been out and going by now.
