Alright let's talk Chucky.

Child's Play 5 now is supposed to be a spoof off of Hannibal. Now I can see this either being a classic or just another victum? I can see Chucky going around and cutting people's ears off or even biteing them off. I just don't see a plastic doll eating people or needing to eat people.

This film was going to originally be called Seed of Chucky and center around Chucky's "gender confused" son, but apparently they're going in a different direction. I just hope they know what they're doing.

I'm actually happy they went away from this idea. I'd rather have the real Chucky.

The Chucky series should have ened after the first one completed filming. I really couldn't care less what they do with the character anymore.

Chucky scared my childhood, but now I think he's funny, in a cheesy, Jason Vorhees kind of way. Will they ressurect Tiffany in the sequel? Jennifer Tilly was the best thing to happen to that tired "franchise".

Chuckie used to freak me out when I was younger. I used to think my toys were gonna come alive and kill me or something. I've long since gotten over it though. :cool:

Anyway, I don't really care what they do with the movie either. They don't need another sequel..geeez they've already got 4. And the ending to the last one was retarded. :rolleyes:

No Tiff died in BOC. The child the two had was supposed to be the doll in the next movie. I guess they realized how dumb that was.

I'm looking foward to Chucky slashing his way across the big screen again.

I've seen the first three Child's Play movies on Cable TV (It's so funny to see how they edit the curse words when you can obviously read their lips to know what they are really saying).

I wouldn't mind another one. It's brainless fun (if you want to know what I call brainless fun, go to the forum about the Jason X movie).

The problem I have with the movies is that first one was genuinely creepy and freaked me out when i saw it - heck, it still freaks me out to watch it sometimes. But then the sequels were all poorly written, and, for the most part, goofey. Very disappointing.

Anyone can do a horror comedy. It takes real talent to write a serious one. And dolls that eat people sounds too much like Trilogy of Terror. Eh. Figures they'd rip that off that some more.

The problem with sequals is that they never (in most cases, lots of horror movies) never reach the quality of the first. The first 2 CP movies were great. The third one was so so. I only liked BOC because it was funny. He didn't really do much killing. He could have done a lot more. The part where they kill the couple in the motel was awesome. The tribute to Pin Head was also cool.

I'm not sure when CP5 is going to start filming. From what I read it was supposed to start once Jason X was finished.

Well whatever they decide, I can't wait to see it. When horror movies went out of style in the nineties, I didn't mind because there were hundreds if not thousands of old ones from the seventies and eighties I'd never seen that I could rent. Also DTV companies like Full Moon were still putting out product that was good enough for me. But I don't like this new generation of movies like Scream and all those. I'm glad to see Jason and Chucky are having a come back. Now if only we can get the Cenobites out of the video store and back into cinimas where they belong.

Actually that's the next movie I am going to post about. There is a new Hellraiser film. That will be tomorrow's topic. :) There's a world of horror movies coming out between now and 2003. I'll be bringing news on all of them. I should have did Hellraiser before American Psycho 2.

With the release of Jason X and Child's Play 5, do you think there will be a DVD set like they do with the Nightmare on Elm. Street series?? It would be nice if they had features for the movies ( I don't recall any extras on Friday the 13th or Child's Play). I mean, wouldn't it be cool to see Kane Hodder's real face?

Those look like recent pics of the guy. I'm talking about how Kane Hodder looked back then (20 years or more younger) and hear him speak. I still say put it on the DVD for those who haven't seen them AND for those who don't have internet access.
