It's not perfect, but without a doubt it's got to the B:TAS design...

With slightly more fluid and consistent animation it would have been fantastic. The rest are just awful.

I'm a bit torn between the BTAS and TNBA designs.

From a stylish point of view I like the curvey shape of the BTAS Catwoman (much like with real women) -- But by contrast I like the sleek angular design of the TNBA Catwoman.

The BTAS grey costume works best in contrast against dark shadowed scenes where it stands out -- But, for practical reasons, TNBA's black costume is a better color for Catwoman and blends well with shadows, yet gives a great silhouette effect against Gotham's red sky shots.

The BTAS Catwoman mask has open eye-holes where her eyes are visible and enables the character to emote clearly -- But the TNBA Catwoman mask has the blank white eyes, along with its pale goth facial complexion, which gives contrast to the rest of her black outfiit and lends itself visually to the mystery behind the Catwoman.

I love both, but for total opposite reasons.

Yea I'd go with BTAS too. It's elegant and when it was animated well it looked great. The concept of her that they had when making the show would've been awesome where she was all black but Bruce probably made the right call that it was too much of a gamble back then considering it could have been awful in motion against dark BGs.

I like aspects of the TNBA but it's too angular for me. Harley got away with it and so did Batgirl, Poison Ivy had other things for me that made up for it a little but Catwoman..I think she needed her eyes for me. BaTB is nicely drawn but I never liked Catwoman with a cape in the comics. The first two are just awful and The Batman version just doesn't do much for me.

I'm definitely gonna have to say the BTAS design. Very sexy. Now keep in mind that I'm only saying that about the Catwoman design. Strangely though I think I preferred TNBA Selina Kyle design over the BTAS Selina design.

The B:TAS design is easily my favorite from those versions.

However, I would love to one day see my overall favorite Catwoman, Jim Balent's version, in animation:

Jim Balent's artwork is....well, it's something else, to be sure...but even I can't deny that I liked his Catwoman from the 90s.

My fav, though, isn't on your list, Manhunter. The black B:TAS costume. It was for a proposed spin-off that never was. My fav that actually existed and was used in something?

This is the best and most elegant Bruce Timm design ever for Catwoman...

Takes the best live-action version (Michelle Pfeiffer) and removes the stitches which im assuming Timm doesnt have much affection for.

Love the little gloves as well, just add some high heels and it's all good.

DisneyBoy

Sorry - the little gloves ruin it for me. And I think Timm really likes them (and Julie Newmar!) and keeps putting them back in. I couldn't find the picture I really wanted to post yesterday...ahhhhh.....there you are!

*can't upload it from the popculture shock website*

Crud. Well, here's an alternate version of that, without the white make-up on her face. Not loving it as much, but the outfit's the same...

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3564/3331211548_b14883a241.jpgI was always a fan of the BTAS Catwoman. It was sleek, and the gold belt on the hips just added the right amount of sexy without making the outfit seem slutty. The only thing that bothered me was the cowl which covered her hair; which is why I'm surprised she didn't have a pixie hair cut. It'd get hot under that mask.

That's why the second photo is awesome, because it would have been the perfect mix of the movie costume and old school Catwoman from the show and comic.

Animated wise, it is the BTAS design since it makes her look human and sexy and a bit dangerous. I hate how whtie and emtionless she looks in TNBA. Wish they had gone with the Black version of the BTAS design with little gloves or full gloves.

I'd have to go with the 90s Batman: TAS design as well, both the Catwoman design and the Selina design. The TNBA design was kinda creepy looking.

While not a big fan of how they drew Catwoman's costume on THE BATMAN, I did like their character design for Selina.

BTW, I also love the Jim Balent version of Catwoman. Probably my favorite look for her comics wise (do not like the modern look very much).

BTAS, really thought it fit, especially after seeing "CATS" (the musical) and watching "The Cat and The Claw", that costume just works. The TNBA design is coolish (if that's a word) but doesn't really impress me for some reason, The Batman's is cool, but I need to go see it in action before I pass judgement on it. But BTAS takes the cake. I personally hate BatB's design.

I always like the custome Catwoman wore for nearly 40 years, Purple Dress with a green cape.
She wears it on BATMAN: THE BRAVE & THE BOLD.
Too bad they made face looking like she swallow nails.

From those listed in this thread, I choose the B:TAS design.

I like the version from TNBA best. I feel it's the only one that really puts the Cat into Catwoman.

I never understood the belt in BTAS, and it's really taking away the idea that she's dressed up as a cat. Not only does not having the belt make her look more cat-like, but Batgirl has a yellow belt, and i think there should be some clear differences between these two characters.

I always loved the BTAS design. I remember first appreciating it when putting together a 100 piece puzzle with Batman and Catwoman as a kid. One of the things I loved about the Timm designs back then, besides the fact that they looked great, was that they always felt well put together but simple enough for me to copy or toy with myself and that was definitely the case with Catwoman. Even though the suit is spandex, it still manages to come across as kind of elegant in some odd way. I liked the TNBA Selina Kyle but I was never really dug the Catwoman design, at least not in animation. If it weren't for the cowl, I think I'd like The Batman design.

As far as Animation goes, I still love the original B:TAS one.
But second to that for me is The Batman one, mainly because it incorporates elements from my favorite Catwoman Design, the one used more "Modern"ly I should say? The one with the goggles, I mean.

I love the modern leather outfit with the eye-goggles, too. It was originally designed by Darwyn (New Frontier) Cooke, but as much as I love Cooke's art, I really think Jim (Hush) Lee's rendition of it is near perfect.

I'm usually a big defender of The Batman series, but my problem with that version of Catwoman's costume is the size of the ears on her cowl -- They're just too big and remind me more of a mouse than a cat.

I'm definitely in the minority here and HATED her B:TAS design. The gray color and the little coin belt were incredibly stupid looking. And her TNBA design was one step forward two steps back.

So I begrudgingly say that the "The Batman" design is my favorite. The ears and gloves are a little over-sized, but the texture of the suit is animated well and she looks sleek along with the rest of the series proportions.

I also want to say here that I LOVE the purple Jim Balent design with the high boots and gloves. In a perfect world that's the design they would have used in B:TAS. I hope that design makes it into animation ONE day at least.

Agreed with everything, especially with perfecting it.
And yeah, the ears always have bugged me a little bit, but I got over it, the rest of it makes it better to me, so I just ignore the size of her ears.

Eh... close between BTAS and The Brave and The Bold. None are perfect, I have to say, but TNBA feels too inhuman to me - one of the things I like about Catwoman is that she's a foil to Batman, thus, just a cat burglar. Batman, at his best, looks like a guy in a costume, and the same should be true of Catwoman. Like, the pale blue skin? It's weird. The Batman isn't bad - it's just very middle of the road. Goggles are cool, but the outfit seems too baggy (not very cat burglarish), and I second the ear criticism.

The Brave and The Bold is very retro, and fits perfectly with the series. She's got a "50s sexy" feel to her, which is just perfect, and the little panther-type ears are perfect. Purple's a good choice, too.

BTAS, on the other hand, is a very simple and effective cat burglar outfit. With pointy ears. I mean, when I think "Catwoman," that's pretty much what I think of. It's not perfect, by any means - but, it's simple, and it works.

However, that BTAS-style-but-black outfit someone posted, man, THAT is just perfect. A bit too simple, but, as close to perfect as an animated Catwoman could get.

Didn't like either design of Catwoman in the Batman cartoons. My biggest problem with TAS design was that it never got drawn on model--Catwoman was one of the characters plagued with consistently poorly animated episodes. But even so, I thought the gray looked bad, even worse with the black face. But even if it had been well animated, I didn't like it that much, she seemed to round or something. To this day I can't quite place my finger on WHY I don't like the model.

TNBA model has the exact opposite problem. It's too many angles and too simple. There are only two colors on her.

The other ones the OP posted don't do anything for me, either. The Batman had good qualities, but the giant ears ruined it. I _love_ Catwoman's most recent comic book costume with the goggles.

I think the Batman: TAS Catwoman was the best one, but I bet I would have liked to have seen her look like this in that series as well. I guess they tried to do that with TNBA, but it just seems a bit weird that wearing that costume would somehow give her white skin. I thought the white skin thing looked better on Poison Ivy than Catwoman.

Ok. I wish someone could put up the early seventies outfit that Catwoman wore, and was used most recently in "Night of the BatMen." That's one of my favorites--it was a dark and light blue leotard with some red thrown in.

I have to confess I have a sentimental feeling for the "green" outfit was used in the sixties animated version and in the comics. Also those "Cats-Eye" masks are cool.

But I absolutely hate the current comic book version --it looks too butch, and Selina's beautiful hair is chopped off. Hate it! Hate it. Hate it.

I also dislike the purple grey late fifties dress outfit that was used in the Brave and The Bold animated --- it was way. . . . too bulky and looked too heavy. Never liked it at all.

I was hoping that BBATB producers would use the outfit in "Night of the Batmen" one more time before the series finished, but I guess it's not to be.

This picture does get my vote, and I wish someone would collect Mr Timm's illustrations like this in a trade paperback. Why couldn't they have gone with this for the BTAS?

Here's my favorite Catwoman designs to the most awesome sexy popular DC supervillainess/anti-heroine:

Her The New Adventures of Batman design looks pretty sweet with the orange costume and nice cat symbol.

Her The New Batman Adventures design looks so amazing with the nice darker black costume look, the white eyes, and white make-up on her face:D.

Don't know if this counts, but her design in Robot Chicken in action figure form looks pretty sweet with the nice purple-style costume look as much as that version of Catwoman was hilarious, hahahahaha.

Her The Batman design looks so awesome with the new upgraded style in her costume with cool claws/collar and sweet goggles.

Her two original/Silver Age Batman: The Brave And The Bold designs look super awesome with the sweet purple dress-like costume and the cool 1970s black costume with the cool freaky cat's eyes red mask from Night of the Batmen:anime:.

Her Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe design is super hot and awesome with the cool goggles and sweet black costume!!!!!!

Her Batman: Year One design was pretty awesome with the nice black costume design.

That design from Paul Dini's cool fanart picture looks so fantastic and super hot, that should so get animated in the future, you rock Lucho and JThree for bringing that cool fanart picture!!!!!!!

Even in the comics, Catwoman has so many awesome hot designs as well which is so epic!!!!!

The version from The Batman is easiest my favorite.
Love how they handled her claws, her mask, the collar around her neck and especially the goggles. The design also gets bonus points for using her whip as a tail to complete the cat look. Also the design for Selina Kyle was very good looking.

Second would be the Bruce Timm version, but namely just his original drawing of her as opposed to how that design was converted for animation... something was just lost in the conversion. Though in a way you might say that's less to do with the design itself and more about how well the design was drawn.

Agreed, not sure about the gloves though. Apparently the creators of 'The Batman' have a thing for extremely skinny girls, just look at batgirl and poison ivy in that show and then look how well proportioned they are in BTAS.

THIS is definitely my favorite costume as well.

But of the animated ones, I'll have to go with Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Just love the retro look, with the purple dress and green cape.
2nd place goes to the grey/black Batman: The Animated Series design. Mostly because it honestly reminds me of Michelle Pfeiffer.

My favorite look for her on THAT show, though, was when she stole Batman's belt, and wore it with no mask in front of the mirror. Totally reminded me of the '66 Adam West Batman, Catwoman costumes.
