Picked this one up today and enjoyed it for the most part. The first story I didn't really take a whole lot away from since it was mostly just a reunion between Superman and Lois Lane that I guess was meant to wrap up the prior storyline. Nothing much happened in that one, but it was a nice touch. The second story was actually set in the earlier years of Superman's career. It was told mostly from Dick Grayson's perspective and was a light and fun story on its own. The third part was really intriguing for me because it seems like JMS is taking Superman in an entirely new direction with his "Grounded" storyline. It deals with Superman's return to Earth and his coming to terms with everything that has happened and the consequences of his absence. It gave me the impression that the rest of Straczynski's run will be an attempt at taking the character back to his roots.

Story 1:
Nice, nothing special, just Lois happy with the return of Kal-El and they romance it most of the story, but not bad. 3.78/5

Story 2:
Best story in the issue, best Batman story for the year, or Richard since he's Batman now. 5/5

Story 3:
A little confusing, why ground himself like that? Maybe I should give it another read, then read Superman 701-703. 4/5

Average: 4.26/5
I'll have to vote 4.5 stars then
