View Full Version : Two NegaDucks?
I have never been convinced by the fan claim that there were two Nega Ducks in the DW TV show. To me, they obviously seemed to be the same character. No reference seems to be made to indicate otherwise.
Thoughts?

I never heard anything about there being 2 Neagducks. The impression I got was that after the original "Negaduck" story, the writers wanted to bring the character back, but decided not to bother with any complicated quasi-scientific explanation of why or how Negaduck was back in the flesh; he just came back one day, and he's been around ever since.
Many fans crave concrete continuity, so they tend to want a logical explanation for everything. But not all writers are as obsessed with that; some of them just do what they wanna do. They wanted Negaduck back so they just brought him back. The end.

Are you referring to the episode 'Negaduck'? Here, Megavolt zaps Darkwing with his 'tron splitter' device, splitting him into two 'Darkwings'? one positive, and one negative. The negative Darkwing becomes 'Negaduck', but by the end of the episode, both Darkwings are put back together again. However, in later episodes, we see Negaduck as a separate character who wasn't split from Darkwing's body, and wears a red, and yellow suit.
Yes, and I think they are clearly the same character.
I agree with Silver regarding fandom.

The episode "Life, the Negaverse and Everything" shows a parallel universe called the Negaverse in which everything exists as the opposite of our universe, and the episode implies that (yellow suit, red hat and cape) Negaduck is the Darkwing of that universe. That's the closest thing to an explanation that the show ever gave to the yellow suited Negaduck.

This is what Tad Stones has said, and the Negaverse was later created in order to give Negaduck some sort if back story.
