Okay, I'm sure I don't need to tell you all how popular the John Delaney sketch of the week is, unless you have been living in a cave for weeks. John sketches 'em, Harley colors 'em, and we fans put oversize links in our signatures in an attempt to get people to vote our way.

So, given the popularity of the Sketch of the Week, I would like to propose a featured Toonzone contest based on the sketches. How about we hold a regular "Caption This" competition with the John Delaney sketches, and then the moderator in charge of the competition picks out the best ones to be voted on by the forum members? The winner gets to be the official caption of the sketch.

Now, I'm not suggesting that we make fun of Mr. Delaney, or his sketches, in any way. What I am suggesting, is that we make up the best possible quote for the sketch itself. It can be funny, serious, or weird, depending on your taste and the sketch itself.

What do you all think?

Sounds like fun. :)

Plus it might get the people you haven't been paying attention to the polls to start voting. Seeing John D's fine work for the first time might be a big draw.

Over all, I think it sounds like a great idea. ;)

I don't like the idea of it being a contest. The idea of a "Delaney Funny Quote" I would be fine with, although I'm not super excited about it. How the heck would you caption the Batgirl pic?

It sounds good in theory, but I don't want John draw to do the sketchs saying "They could come up with a really good caption for this." And I sure wouldn't want someone to look at a sketch and say "How can I caption this?!" It would be okay for some of them, but would mean nothing for others. I feel it puts more pressure on John and with ties and everything else, he just doesn't need it.
