ToonZone Has A Pitiful Google Rating! Why?!?!

I just installed the Google toolbar to my browser. It has lots of cool features on it, and one of them is page rank. This tells you what the site's quality is in a little fill in bar, all the way filled in the best. Well, people, it views ToonZone with the bar half the way full. Why?!?! ToonZone is the Mecca of toon fans! There is late-breaking, reliable news; intelligent conversation; and information that a fanboy/girl would turn over in his/her dark, deathly grave to read! I think we should start a "ToonZone All The Way" petition! Are you with me?

All I can tell you is that I LOVE Toon Zone and World's Finest, and send the URLs to both these websites to everyone I know so that they can check it out. Doesn't everybody pass on their favorite websites to everyone they know to help attract more website viewers? :confused:

Uh..... I wouldn't have ever known about Toon Zone if it wasn't for Watagashi...... and I'm proud to say that yes, I have given other people the link. :D On the other boards that I'm a member of, people ask me how I know some of the things I know. I tell them, I say, "Toon Zone," and give them the link. :p
Also, quite a few of my friends joined(you know who you are ;) ), so we (me'n Wat, and the others) must be doing SOMETHING right.

I think a petition would accomplish next to nothing (No offense to you at all, I just think the idea wouldn't work). Who would you send it to? Is it so pressing that they would care? It's a huge insult to Toon Zone, but how would a higher rating affect them?

Is it user-rated? (IE Do Google users vote on the quality of the site rather than a Google employee reviewing the site, like a newspaper entertainment reviewer?) If so, maybe there's a place where we can beef up the rating. Also, if it is user-rated, maybe there are few google-users who rated the site's quality to begin with (Less votes means more extreme, and often crappier, values). But I'm basing this entire argument on the assumption that it is user-rated, so I may be way off base here.

Anyway, we all know that Toon Zone rocks, or else we wouldn't be here. :D

I don't think Google was around when I first came here, so that shows how much I need Google. :p All we need is great word of mouth, which I think we get. I mean, this place has so many more members than when the new boards opened up, and there's only more to come!

I was kind of kidding about the petition. Just bringing the rating to people's attention. :D

As for who rates the sites, they have a panel of so-called "judges"! :rolleyes:

But yeah, ToonZone rocks anyway! :)

Funny, I always figured the rating was based on click-throughs (followed links into) referals, search terms, etc.

I never pay attention to the ranking, but in Windows, you can't go wrong by installing the google bar...much better than the built in "search" function. Feh!
