It is with great sadness that I report on the passing of another of the beloved "Golden Girls" as the Southern belle Blanche Devereaux has passed away.

I was five years old when Golden Girls first premired and I loved them, As I have grown, I found new things to love about this incredible series and one of the things I loved the best was Rue McClanahan as the man crazy Blanch. I'm very sad to hear that she passed away, but I am thankful for the great memories that she along with Estelle Getty, Bea Arthur and Betty White have given me and countless others.

Thank you Rue, may you rest in peace and your legacy live on forever.

Rue, rest and be at peace. Thank you for your wonderful years of making us laugh on Golden Girls and Mama's Family. Sophia and Dorothy are waiting for you so that they can share a slice of cheesecake.

So. The Golden Girls clan is almost completely gone now. :(

Blanche was always my favorite character on the show.

I don't even know really what to say.

I'd been hearing about her declining health lately, but it's still kind of a shock to hear about her death. Always liked her in anything I saw her in, so I'm sad to hear about her death.

So yeah, great career, funny actress, good performer. Will be missed.

I don't like it when someone makes a joke in regards to someone's death, but I admittedly cracked up laughin when I saw this on Frank Conniff's facebook page:

Now that Betty White is [the] last Golden Girl standing, maybe she'll finally get some media attention.

R.I.P. Rue McClanahan. I'll go watch Hollywood After Dark.

Yeah, this blows... I heard about it today. Betty White is the last one remaining...she must be healthy for her age to live this long...

Rest in peace, Rue McClanahan. BTW, there needs to be a discussion on the Marvel Animation Message Board about her, because she played Felicia Hardy's hard-nosed aunt, Anastacia Hardy on Spider-Man, during the 1990's. Rue was a tremendous talent on TV and she will be missed. Now Betty White is the last remaining Golden Girl left, and she's about to star in Hot in Cleveland, set to premiere, real soon on TV Land.

This truly is sad. The gang is almost gone. Admittedly, I only started watching the show because I would get sick a lot when I was young and my grandmother loved Lifetime. But the show stuck with me. I love, even the sequel series. My grandparents are sad, just as they were with the other two.

So hard to see these ladies go, isn't it?

On EW's site, they list quotes from past co-workers and friends of hers. Apparently, she was in Wicked. Who did she play?

Great actress who did so much with what could have been an annoying role.

I'm not liking this at all.

First Sophia, then Dorothy, and now Blanche.

Rue McClanahan was a great actress and one of the funniest and sassiest ladies that the Golden Girls ever had. And it's true that she played Anastacia Hardy on Spider-Man, but all in all, she will be missed.

Goodbye and Rest in peace, beautiful Blanche Devereaux. May you, Dorothy and Sophia reunite for better times before God in Heaven, because Lord knows that you have now become Rose Nylund's guardian angels, as she is the only one left.

That was supposed to be a joke?

Anyway, R.I.P. Rue McClanahan.

I guess so. Do you think Betty White is being deprived of media attention? She recently appeared on SNL, and EVERYONE was talking about it for days!

Still, the statement IMO was just...meh.
