Call of Duty: Black Ops is an upcoming 2010 first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and published by Activison for release on November 9, 2010. Officially announced on April 30, 2010, the game is the seventh installment of the Call Of Duty series and the fourth game in the series to be developed by Treyarch after Call Of Duty 2: The Big Red One, Call Of Duty 3, and Call Of Duty: World At War. It was initially only available for pre-order on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Activision however confirmed that it will also be released on the Nintendo Wii.
So fellow Toon Zone members, what do you think they should add in the next installment of the Call Of Duty series. What do you think they should get rid of that was in Modern Warfare 2? Discuss it all here.

Sweet, by the time this game comes out I'll have my ps3.
I see Cuba is a confirmed map. Maybe the campaign can cover parts of the Cuban Missle Crisis. Looking foward to the Vietnam part.
BTW, there is a new trailer that will debut during the third quarter of tonight's Eastern Conference Finals on ESPN (so sayeth the ads that bombard my most-watched channel). And, according to Treyarch (http://callofduty.com/blackops/intel/view/blog/43), it will be different than the debut teaser that was on GT TV and is composed of in-game footage.

Can't wait to see what it's like.

Can't wait to see what it's like. That was on this past Tuesday. Here it is in its entirety (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OtRnpC7ddv8) on Treyarch's YouTube channel. It does look good and may be the first COD game I pick up. Here's some news to pass along:
-Unlike Modern Warfare 2, (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/10/20/infinity-ward-responds-to-modern-warfare-2-dedicated-server-peti/) Black Ops will have dedicated servers for the PC build (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/15/call-of-duty-black-ops-to-feature-dedicated-pc-servers/).
-There will be a Wii version of the game (http://www.joystiq.com/2010/05/11/call-of-duty-black-ops-brings-the-cold-war-to-wii-on-nov-9/). It will be out on Nov. 9 and developed by Treyarch
-There's a rumor (http://g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/704663/Activision-Pulls-Raven-Software-Off-Bond-Game-Now-Designing-Call-Of-Duty-Maps.html) that Raven Software - specifically, the team behind the last Wolfenstein game - is working on Black Ops DLC instead of a James Bond game that's in early development/design phases.

Wow, I haven't seen this thread for a while but anyways, some of you may know that the Multiplayer reveal for Call of Duty Black Ops was today and even though the security wouldn't allow video recording during the presentation we got a lot of information tonight.
Since I knew I couldn't see the presentation I headed over to the live blog and received some information, here's the link: http://www.1up.com/news/call-of-duty-black-ops-multiplayer-liveblog
There will be a mode called "Combat Training" and it has different rank progression than multiplayer. Every time you play, you earn money(COD Points). What you used to unlock by level is now for sale -- if you can afford it, you can buy it. There's a Wager Match mode where you can bet COD points during a match(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kg_8mPoloBo).
