Congratulations! Just to let you know, we try to discourage these types of posts- they have a stigma attached to it due to some bad experiences in the past.

I think people can post these kind of posts, just as long as they don't get out of hand. You know, like the happy birthday posts.

I would say they are fine. What we discourage are announcements like this for every 100 posts. We can be happy for you, but don't be annoying about it and keep reminding us of it every other week. (BTW, this thread is not annoying!!)

If this helps I usually come up with a topic and use that for my post milestone. For example The WWF Trivia Thread was to celebrate my 300th post and I mentioned that. This way you get to say "look at all the posts I have, but at the same time you usher in a new discussion.

yeah, 100 posts go by pretty quickly, although it took me since october to even reach that many. :p it didn't take long after, though, when i started getting bored at school and work, going online every chance i get to check out the boards. my goal was to get 100 posts but i missed it. =P but that's ok, i don't really pay attention to the numbers anyway. i just notice it when people point them out.
