The JL theme kicks arse. And the "Right Stuff" intro is da bombay!!! Timm did a great job piecing the intro together.

I always thought it was cool. Although I'm not too fond of the CGI in the intro. Why did they do that? It basically a much cheesier representation of what they look like in the show.

I've liked the song since day one. As for the intro, I wish it was traditional animation, but Timm said he would've had a hard time capturing the League walking towards the screen with traditional animation, so he went with CGI. Too bad he didn't go with Mainframe though... :(

I've loved the intro, visual and music, since the beginning. In fact I keep entertaining thoughts of recording it onto my comp from my taped episodes. I just need good MP3 recorder software. If anyone knows of one that'd be awesome.
I understand about the CGI thing for the sequence, and I agree that all the parts except for the walking toward the screen should have been done in pen and ink. But I still like it. It's only an intro, and it's a nice twist on what the characters would look like in CGI. Ya know, for anyone who was wondering how they'd look. ;)

I like it. Both the visuals and the score. :)

I've loved the Justice League intro sequence since the first time I saw it. :D I didn't know that there were any people who didn't like it!
I've also enjoyed all of Justice League's music -- not just the intro, but the whole TV show. My favorite music, by scene (so far!), is:
1. Flash chases the truck through Central City, "The Brave and The Bold," Part I
2. the Justice League intro sequence music
3. the music they play when the US Navy's submarine is sunk by Atlantean ships (Aquaman says, "Let it sink."), "The Enemy Below," Part I
4. the music they play when Batman, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, and Hawkgirl are trying to escape from Gorilla City, "The Brave and The Bold," Part II
5. the music they play when the Justice League's fight against the Manhunters is joined (in the middle of the battle) by other Green Lantern Corps members, followed by Hawkgirl, "In Blackest Night," Part II
Wow! :)

i totally agree with your #1 music moment-- that scene ruled, and one reason it did is because the music rocked
and ive always liked the theme and the begining-- very noble

i'd love to have the JL theme as my windows startup and shutdown music. also, various sounds from JL would be cool.
error message: "don't make this harder than it already is"(Batman), etc.
any other ideas?

I loved it from the first time that I heard it (back in late January when I saw my first JL episode). The music fits most of the character intros. I especially love the part where Superman busts through the wall and takes off.

I often find myself whistling the theme song to myself, out of nowhere.
I liked it from the very beginning. :D

I love it. It's an addition to my upcoming JL Flash Website. I keep playing it in my head. Sometimes I wistle is, and it somehow turns into the Indiana Jones theme song. :(

I like it alot, very epic. I like some of the CGI. I don't like Batman or Wonderwoman on it. The rest look good.
Oh btw, it's availble on the CN website in case anyone didn't know.

I liked it right away. Very inspiring, and I like how a lot of the movements are in synch (forgive me!) with the music, like Superman's two punches. I think the JL music has been very good, especially in Secret Origins as the heroes turn the tide and the aliens flee - very cool stuff.

The first time I heard the intro - I just knew it was gold! I just turned up my speakers and blared it! The CGI imagery however, doesn't really work as well as I'd hoped it would. Frankly, since the music was slower, I was hoping that the images would be faster. I do like the use of shadow and light, but the figures look like toys. Anyways, I'd love to get this intro on cd...Is it just me...or does the tempo no longer pick up at the crescendo? The first times I heard it online, the tempo sped up at Superman's appearance (breaking throught the wall) and it gave me shivers. But when I actually saw the intro on tv, it didn't speeed up at all...Is it just me...? ?
I loved the music from the beginning. I thought it was very appropriate. As for the CGI, I think it suffers from the same problem that most CGI seems to have: the characters move too slow. That makes it seem less real.
Another thing about the opening: J'onn is shown forming from a snake-like thing. However, I've never seen him use his shapeshifting powers like that in the cartoon. What gives here?

I've wondered about that snake/dragon thing too. What's the deal there? Some Martian thing probably...

I'm gonna go in with the majority here and agree that the intro is very good...it works on so many levels...
i.e. it's catchy and it has that epic grandiose sound to it which fits with the show nicely.
As for the visuals (CGI) I understand that most of you think it's sub-par now but that's porbably cuz their budget was so much lower compared to the other animated series in the past.
I trust that if we keep supporting their shows and it stays on for 5 or 6 seasons like we all hope the intro will get better as the show gets more cred. with with WB

DisneyBoy,
Tempo can often be deceiving. I believe it remains steady (i.e., regular and unchanging) throughout the entire opening theme. I'll check again to be sure. :)

I love the music. The one constant throughout all of their various projects has been the first rate job done on the scores. From individual fanfares to episode themes, they have always far exceeded my expectations. But, the opening CGI of "Justice League" does suck *ss

while the theme took some time to grow on me, i actually liked the cgi from day one. its nothing spectacular, but i think as intros go, it looks pretty good and its nice to see the dc heros in cg form. its cool.
someone above mentioned that mm never used his shapeshifting in the show. he did a few times, i believe in secret origins and the enemy below.
btw, does anyone know who composed the theme song? was it shirley walker?

I'm pretty sure that Kristopher Karter did the opening theme for Justice League, but I'm not completely certain.

The Tempo Definitly speeds up once it get's up to Superman.
That's best Part.

Flipmode,
No, it doesn't. The rhythm becomes more animated, and the orchestration changes. But the tempo (the speed at which the musical composition moves) remains constant. I subdivided it both internally as well as with a metronome (six times just to be certain), and it is regular (i.e., as regular as humans are able to make it without machinery). But I do agree that it's the best part. :) BTW, one's perceptions can play tricks on them, which is why I used a metronome.
Disneyboy,
I checked and got back to you. :)

the only cgi ones I really dislike is wonder woman because she looks like a barbie doll in that shot, and batman because they got his ears wrong. The best two are Flash and Hawkgirl. Their shots look very god-like which is what the Justice League is supposed to be like. If they just fixed Batman and Wonder woman it would be great.

How about if you're in the middle of a virus scan and you try to exit out.

that would be really cool! does anyone know how to actually get a JL desktop theme going?

I use to be an amateur desktop theme maker on my old PC actually. When I first got my PC (and I mean my FIRST computer) I'd get or make icons, make a background, get or record sounds (this is all for Windows) and I'd throw it all together. There isn't much left if anything, but I made one for The Simpsons, Batman, Spiderman, and Mario64, most of which are completely lost from my mother's mistreatment of that PC.
But if you're dedicated enough you can throw something together that you can call your own. :)

Not to advertise or anything, but my site has the JL theme to listen to at the bottom of it (flash part). Ill be adding it as a download sooner or later.
