Here's an attempt at a positive thread. Not too long ago, the site Topless Robot did a list (http://www.toplessrobot.com/2010/04/batmans_10_most_incredibly_badass_comic_moments.php) of ten "badass" moments for Batman in comics. Now there are a lot of lists out there, but what I liked about this one is the fact that it openly admits that Batman has such a large history that the list is really just ten that the writer likes instead of a definitive list for all time.
Given that and the fact that I didn't know that any of this stuff ever happened thanks to my generally low knowledge of comic book history, I thought it'd be neat if we took it on ourselves to list as many awesome moments as possible in regard to the Batman. Just remember to explain why they're awesome, that's half the fun.
I'll list one that I can think of right away from JLA: League of One, wherein Wonder Woman manages to get the entire Justice League out of the way so that they won't be killed fighting this evil, very powerful dragon as per a prophecy that she received. This gambit included getting in a few good hits on Superman and sending him off to rescue his fellow heroes from an imminent danger that she put them in, and on top of that Wonder Woman almost dies after slaying the dragon by the time ol' Supes and the League get back.
After it's all over Supes goes off by himself, clearly bothered. Batman knows that this rift between the boy scout and Wonder woman can't last, so he makes a casual remark about how it would take a lot of courage for WW to go after Superman and talk things out with him immediately after betraying him the way that she did. In response, WW snaps that she knows what she must do and will thank Batman to not denigrate her courage again. So off she goes after Supes and Bats just has this fiendish, happy smile on his face. Batman pretty much got his rear kicked in this story, but that ending moment is great because he understood WW's personality and pride and knew exactly what to say to push her to do what was necessary.
