Yo Robocop Fans!
How many of you guys got ThisTV as a digital subchannel on your TV?
I was watching Double Trouble, with the Barbarian Brothers (Peter and David Paul) on the channel when I found out about the network showing all three Robocop movies on Thursday, April 29.
here's the schedule:
Robocop (1987) - Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 8:00pm
Robocop 2 (1990) - Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 10:00pm
Robocop 3 (1993) - Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 12:00am
I'm pretty sure that there were some talkbacks concerning these movies in the past on Toonzone. But, how many of you will be checking out this ThisTV event?

Awesome. It's been a long time since I watched RoboCop so I'm tuning into this for sure. It'll be a good way to end my week since I'll have no classes the next day.
Of course, it's going to be hard to imagine Kurtwood Smith as anything but a grumpy dad.

I've never heard of this channel, but I would tune in if I had it. I've seen Robocop plenty of times and have it on DVD, but have never seen either of the sequels.

Robocop was the first time I ever saw Smith, so it's the role I most identify him with. But it's funny to see him play two such very different roles. Haha!!

Robocop only works for me completely uncensored, so I'll stick with my Blu-Ray.
I'm with Michael24 on Kurtwood Smith. I've watched all but the last season of That 70s Show and I could never really shake his Robocop performance from my mind. I kept hoping maybe he would pop a cap in Fez or something.

If nothing else, a fascinating look at how Hollywood can drive an interesting concept into the ground.

It's been years since I've seen Robocop 1 & 2. and I happen to be in an area that added ThisTV roughly 3 or 4 months ago, so I think I'll set this to record. Those times are Eastern, correct. If so it'll be 7, 9, and 11 PM here, meaning I'll have to record them since I'll be at Annie rehearsals from 7- 10 PM.

Thanks, Penguin. I needed that.
I'm actually watching the first Robocop now. Luckily, I got the uncensored version on VHS from Orion Home Video. I've had the tape for twenty years now, and it's still good!
Now in the future, ThisTV should air the Robocop: Alpha Commando series as part of their weekday morning cartoon block, since MGM produced the animated series.

They couldn't since the daily toon block is blocked out by Cookie Jar, not MGM. Only shows that Cookie Jar has the rights to can air on the toon block, which is used basically to meet their e/i requirements since Mummies Alive and Spider Riders are about the only shows on the block that aren't e/i..
