this may sound like a stupid question, but maybe someone can help me.
i was noticing on kazaa.com that they have JL, BB, BTAS, STAS episodes as avi files. first, is it illegal or just wrong to download these and store them. second, if it's not, what is the best way to
view them and can they be burned onto vcd or dvd (i know dvd burners are expensive, so i won't be buying one just yet.)
no matter what, i am still going to buy every dvd that wb or cn make. this way they keep making them.
thanks in advance.

Hey there Wumbo,
Yep. Those files on Kazaa and other file sharing programs are illegal, just like bootlegs. I do recall some reports of gov't officals (I could be wrong) trying to stop this sort of action, but this sort of stuff takes time to stop and hey it might not ever stop.
I don't downlaod episodes/movies or even clips. Yes, because it's wrong and also because I have a slow dial up modem. Downlaoding anything is slow torture.
As for storing them, you definately can. My fellow classmates do. It is ILLEGAL for them to do so because they are using the school boards space/bandwith/whatever and now the school officials in NYC are threatning to cut off the Internet to the entire school!
Anyway, they burn them with regular burners. I'm not sure how they do it. (I don't have a burner) But, I do hear them talking about Media CDs a lot.
So, that's about it. I hope that answered your question.

p.s. I'll have to buy the VHS versions, I don't have a DVD player either.... I'm so poor! :(

Yes there are illegal and it is against the forum rules (http://forums.toonzone.net/misc.php?s=&action=showrules) to talk about them here. Talk about this should be kept off the boards, although I do commend both of you for saying this is wrong and shouldn't be done. I know you're both new and to be honest something kind of like this happened to me when I first got here. Just be sure to check over the rules (http://forums.toonzone.net/misc.php?s=&action=showrules) if you haven't yet. ;)

While on the subject of the Animated DCU and video files, does anyone know where I can go to download the intros to the various shows? I'm especially looking for the intro to STAS. Any help would be greatly appreciated....
unless it's against the rules, but I do recall someone providing a link to the unfinished Justice League intro.
