After spending about 5 months working on and off, all I have to show is this (http://www.sparkthecomic.com/anim10.html).
This is just some finished animation from the Spark pilot I'm working on based on my webcomic. The opening scene actually isn't going to be in the finished product. I just put it there to give a sense of what's going on. Enjoy. Tell me what you think!

I'm impressed. I wasn't expecting it to be in 3D and it really gives the animation a refined edge. Spark swoops through the sky in a dynamic and convincing way, and everything is fluid, well drawn and expertly presented. You've put a lot of work into this and it shows.
It's just Spark himself that I'm still not convinced about. He just smacks of Batman of the Future.

Woah...nice job animating a 2D character in a 3D environment. That looked pretty good!

Thanks. The 2D animation was in Flash and the 3D was done in Anim8or (http://www.anim8or.com/) (it's free!). Btw, I've taken a break from working on the Spark pilot to work on a 7 minute comedy short. I'm trying to make it kid friendly, but adults can still enjoy it, like the old Loony Tunes shorts, but I have a question. I have a scene in it where a guy falls off a building and he yells "My fallopian tubes!" (as opposed to "My spleen!"). Now, I think it's pretty funny, but others I've spoken to said it wasn't funny, nor appropriate for children. What do you guys think?
