So two tag teams fall (APA and the Dudley Boys) and two stay(Team Xtreme and Billy and Chuck)

Man, for such a smart guy Vince sure picked like an idiot tonight. Flair made out like a bandit. Maven!? Billy and Chuck?! 2 guys that haven't been on RAW/Smackdown in 4+ months?! (Henry and Benoit) At this point in time Raw's way ahead of Smackdown although I'm sure the lower picks will even things out.

i think Mcmahon got some fan favorites. Rock Hogan and Benoit.
Though i think picking billy and chuck was dumb champs or not.

No way. Smackdown has the better group. Rock, Hogan, Jericho, Edge,Christian, Benoit, DDP. Great list.

Billy & Chuck have been good together as the Tag Champions the fact that everyone hates them means they're doing they're job well. By picking them Vince got the Tag Belts, which is what he wanted. I was a little surprised that Raw got both the Intercontinental and European Championships. I thought they would be split so each show has a major secondary championship.

Some interesting observations (some obvious, some not):
*The Hardyz may still be a team, but the Tag Team Championship is on the other show.
*Raw has the Intercontinental and European Championships and SmackDown! has the Hardcore, Tag Team and Cruiserweight Championships.
*Cruiserweights Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Crash Holly, Spike Dudley, and X-Pac are on Raw--giving them no chance at the Cruiserweight belt since the Light Heavyweight Title held by X-Pac seems to be gone.
*Real life engaged couple Billy Kidman and Torrie Wilson are on the same show--they can travel together.
*Torrie can still accompany Tajiri on TV because they are both on SmackDown!
*The Dudleyz and APA have split--both African-American members, Faarooq and D-Von, are on SmackDown! and Bradshaw and Bubba Ray are on Raw.
*Mighty Molly and the Hurricane are on different shows, but Molly now shares the same show as her cousin Crash.
*ECW's "Impact Players" Lance Storm and Justin Credible have no chance of reunion.
*"The Zoo Crew" Albert and Scotty are still together, joined by their sometimes buddy, Rikishi.
*Brothers Edge and Christian are both on SmackDown!
*WCW/ECW Alliance partners Booker T and Test are not.
*The Hollys are split.
*Hardcore Holly and Al Snow both are on with the Hardcore Title.
*No announcers (Lawler, JR, etc.) were drafted for either show unless you count Tazz.
*From the current WWFSuperstars.com roster, The Godfather, Rhyno, Haku, Kanyon, Mike Awesome, Bull Buchanan, Dean Malenko, Hugh Morrus, Chavo Guerrero, Shawn Michaels, Steve Blackman, and both members of Kaientai were not drafted.

Rhyno would have been one of my top draft picks. How can you pick Benoit who is hurt and not Rhyno? How can you pick Mark "No Talent" Henryy and not Rhyno? How can you pick Rikishi in the top 10 knowing the top 10 will probably be the top stars.

RAW as always will be the show to watch. I watch Smackdown. I've just never cared if I missed it. I don't even bother tapeing it most of the time if I know I'm going to be out.

RAW has all of my favorites but Angle.

Test if the biggest man on the Smackdown list unless I've missed something. Does this mean Test will get pushed as a monster?

Angle right now is the top heel on Smackdown. RAW has all of the top heels. Even faces like Kane or Big Show that could be switched are on RAW. I think Booker T will be pushed as a face in the next couple of months.

When Triple H loses the title, he'll go heel and to Smackdown. Too bad Rhyno isn't healthy imagine him on Smackdown now. He'd be where he was in ECW.

I have a feeling that Faarooq and D-Von will form a tag team and maybe Bubba and Bradshaw. There was also talk of trades. Again if the tag titles will only go to Smackdown wrestlers then really who cares about tag teams on RAW?

Another thing I hate Chris Benoit. I can't wait for another Benoit vs. Rock match. When's he coming back again?

They did the draft all wrong. I can't believe that.

-The roster seemed to be chosen at random.
-And what about the belts, how are they gonna work out?

-Most of the mid-carders are chosen above other qualified athletes?
-Why are injured people like Benoit drafted? Couldn't he be left open until he returns, then be treated as a free agent?
-What's gonna happen to the people not drafted? They should draft, EVERYONE, not just 30 people for each team.
-Why are the newbie drafted before everyone else. (ie Brock Lesnar)


I was very pissed off with this draft and I'll never forgive the WWF for this. This had better work out for the better, or the roster split will crash and burn right back into a single unit.

Why would pick Rhyno as your no. #1 since he hurt. Don't you want someone that could make an immediate impact for you? I think the draft was good with a few exceptions. I wouldn't have pick Brock Lesnar, Mark Henry, Lita, and Maven over Chris Jericho. I was actually surprised by some the wrestlers that got pick by both sides. Flair made the worse choice of the night when he chose Lita at No. #10. Even Maven is a better wrestler than Lita! I think the brand split is a good. There will be less talking and longer matches on both shows and more wrestler will get exposure.

How can you pick Benoit who is hurt and not Rhyno?
I'm guessing Benoit is closer to coming back than Rhyno is, although I don't know for sure.


I wouldn't have pick Brock Lesnar, Mark Henry, Lita, and Maven over Chris Jericho.
Jericho, HHH and Stephanie were all left out of the initial draft because at the end of the night the Title could have changed hands.

The WWF has had a lot of time to think about this and they really don't want to screw it up. I'm confident they know what they are doing.

The belts other than The WWF and Women's will go with the Champion to that show. A title could change hands this week on SmackDown! still because it doesn't take effect until Monday, but we'll see.

Linda said at the top of the show his contract does not permit him to be drafted. It makes him more important and the pursuit of Stone Cold in the next few weeks should be interesting.


-Why are injured people like Benoit drafted? Couldn't he be left open until he returns, then be treated as a free agent?
It helps hype Benoit's return and gets people thinking about him again while he's on the way back.


Again if the tag titles will only go to Smackdown wrestlers then really who cares about tag teams on RAW?
They could meet at PPVs we'll have to wait and see.

I don't have a good answer for that one, I'm sure they will all find spots eventually, they are just starting with these. One of the problems with the roster was it was overloaded and some current superstars still have not been really established. If you overload the new rosters right away you will have the same problem.

I doubt that the roster were picked randomly because Vince picked everyone that Flair wanted and Flair did the same thing to Vince.

That's exactly what I am saying. Every person after 10 was picked at "random" (it's called a lottery for a reason).

Wrestling is scripted, so even though it is being billed as a lottery, the draft was premade. I'm sure that the writing staff had a reason for the order(I hope). Also, supposedly, Austin has been at odds with the WWF since about Wrestlemania. I check PWTorch.com(No, I don't work for them) for news.

That's why I put "random" in quotes. It was done this way to look random. I wish people would stop complaining about who went where.

If it was an actual lottery, they would have done it on RAW. Just happened that randomly the ECW talent all went to RAW and Hardyz were put together.

The APA and The Hollys were split up in the lottery and Lance Storm was drawn for SmackDown! with Tazz and Tajiri. Just because it was "random" doesn't mean that it was impossible for teams to end up together. If all the teams were split up, now that would be suspicious.
