I think it's almost a lock that HM will leave the audience with a cliffhanger. But, hey, it's a season finale, and you gotta leave the people wanting more, right? I'm thinking this episode is going to be really bad or really good. We'll wait and see...

As for "Rodney has Two Daddys" my guess is that either there is a conflict for Rodney's attention between Daryl and Rodney's father (a la Andrew/McGuirk) but that really doesn't make sense with the characters. Or, maybe there will be some odd and tangled web of lies (which seems like the usual Baby Blues style) where Daryl and Carl have to pretend to be Rodney's "two daddys."

"Rodney Has Two Daddies" was one of the episodes that aired on The WB during that short run. Here is what happened:

First, we see Darrel and Carl's Fathers during WW2 with Carl's father as the soilder and Darrel's father as the chef. The same thing happens to the twosome in present time, with Carl as the tough guy and Handy-Man and Darrel as the chief. Carl uses his skills to impress his kids and wife and Darrel wants to impress Wanda (who is impressed of Carl's skills) and Zoe, so he tries to use Carl's skills, by fixing the VCR and then fixing up the broken circut breaker, but only blasts the whole neighborhood, except for the Bitterman house, as Carl worked and turked it to survive any problem that can cause a new and crazy world. He says he has enough nescessities to survive and the whole neighborhood gathers at the house, where Carl explains the game plan, as outage may take years to fix. That is when his High School rival comes and says he will take all his stuff, so they compete in a fight to the death like Thunderdome, which is usually illegal, but "The Law went out with the power." Darrel tries to talk some sense into everyone, but he only gets thrown into the ring. A minute later, the power comes back on, and everyon goes back to their everyday lives. Darrel is crushed to find out people aren't gentle, but rather crazy, and walks with the sad thought he is the only just person in the world. However, he finds Rodney at the park, who has tasted Darrel's food and was amazed, can't stand what he calls Carl's complaining about what is good and left the assembly while Carl was speaking, was trying to make the appitizer Darrel made earlier. Darrel helps him and, eventually, Darrel becomes more confident of his abilities and Rodney starts to form a habit. Eventually, while Carl was starting to get worried about what happened to Rondey, Darrel enters the boy into a competition on a food network. Carl soon fingers what Darrel has been doing to Rodney, and goes to the set of the show to get his boy. He thinks it is a whimpy competion, but Darrel convinces him cooking in a battle of the chefs is similar to fighting in a war. Rodney goes up against some English kid and wins. The ending scene is also where we entered. This time, Carl's Father is Honoring Darrel's Father for "Filling us up to fight".

I may very well tape over "Home Movies: Bussiness and Pleasure" and "Baby Blues: The Bad Family" with these two episodes.
