I'm really picky when it comes to my clothes and I buy a lot of expensive stuff . Like this weekend I got a pair of shoes for 150 bucks (Designer timberlands)..

I'm not one of those who just buy something because it's name brand. It has to look good..I'll wearanything as long as it looks good on me.

So my wardrobe has a lot of Plad shirts, Dress Shirts, Few T-Shirts, expensive shoes and color cordinated type stuff..

So what's in your wardrobe and how does it effect, if at all, your Social Standing or the way you feel period? Also do you seea nything wrong with buying anything just for a brand ?

I've noticed that when I dress nice I feel great..a nd have more confidense.

my wardrobe consists of mostly goodwill clothes. i'm not really that poor..its just that i find good clothes there. i wear guy's clothes most of the time anyway, so it dosen't really matter. the only way you can tell i'm a girl is my hair and my jewelry. :p i also wear alot of stuff from hot topic.

and the whole brand name thing dosen't really matter to me. if it fits and i like it, i'll wear it.

EDIT: (forgot to mention shoes  ) on shoes, i usually buy the ugliest, most god-awful things i can find, including a pair of men's shoes i got at, you guessed it, goodwill that my mother insists look like the shoes of a dead man. what can i say? i'm a freakish trendsetter of sorts.

Well my wardrobe consists of dressy pants, skirts, shirts, etc, and brand name jeans that I wear to work, university and when I am student teaching. I must admit I do wear a lot of brand names recently--I have a reason :o I work in the offices of a well known brand name clothing company which is well known all over the world :D *coughdiscountscough*

I usually wear cloths that fit my style and flatters my figure. If the piece of clothing screams out my name then YES I'll buy it. I figure, I work thus I can buy. If I didn't work then no monthly shopping sprees :D

Shoes I am not picky. I am not a person to spend near 200$ for a pair of shoes when I can find the exact same immitation for 60$
I've learned immitations are sometimes better than the original even in clothes. All that you are doing is paying for the brand name. Can you believe I even saw once a pair of nylon stoking priced 50$. Who is literally NUTS to buy that pair!. I mean one little rip and there goes 50$ down the drain!

lessee here.... my my wardrobe is mostly comfortable pants (not even name brands normally... just comfortable knit pants) and shirts with fun sayings on them. (my personal favourite is, "the ancient egyptians worshiped cats as gods. cats have never forgotten this.")

shoes wise.... i have one pair of street shoes and a pair of dress shoes.

that's just for normal.... for ballet i have everything ranging from tight velvet pants to wool. shoes i usually spend $120+ a month..... for pointe shoes and all that jazz!!!

You know, I never do my own clothes shopping. My mother is the world's biggest bargain hunter, and I really don't want to take away her fun! Seriously! She drools every time the word "Thrift Store" or "Yard Sale" is mentioned. She finds a lot of good stuff there, too. For instance she once found a suit for my dad that he wore at a Christmas party back at the retirement home he worked at in Alabama. His boss was wearing the same suit! He came over to Dad, and said "Man, if I'm paying you that much, I should reduce your pay!"

Dad: "Ah, but you didn't pay for yours what I paid for mine!"

Boss: "No way! I got a great deal on this! I paid only $300 dollars for it!"

Dad: "I paid about $15. My wife got it at the thrift store!"

Granted, that sort of thing doesn't happen all the time, but I can honestly say that Mom always brings home quality. And, nobody ever enjoyed bargain shopping like her.

Hmmm....

Well, my work wardrobe is pretty much khakis and dress shirts. Nothing name brand there at all.

My "at home" wardrobe consists of mainly t-shirts (lots and lots of comic t-shirts), jeans, and some regular old pull-over shirts. Again, nothing terribly expensive or name-brand. And then I've got a few slightly more expensive outfits for nights out with my girlfriend. That's about it for me.

I used to spend like up to 76 dollars for a pair of pants until I discovered that Old Navy has pants for like 20 bucks.

From that point on I got every pair of pants I own from Old Navy, and spend the real money on shoes and shirts. I also shop at discount stores for "irregular stuff" that's name brand but no body knows it's irregular, because um most of it just isn't. I can't wait to get into college, fashion is no where as a big deal as it is in High school.

*jeans, mostly blue/shorts, nothing majorly name brand/designer
*shirts--tee, loud gaudy button-ups, and some dressier shirts for going formal
*boots (everyday wear)
*sneakers (jogging)
*dress shoes (church)
*hats (must have over a dozen now, as well as a couple of bandanas)
*military field jacket (day to day wear)
*long military overcoat (church)
*obligatory suits/ties for funerals, job interviews, and weddings, one worn last in 1997, the other got semi-new at church rummage sale and not worn yet
*grey Hanes socks/Froot of the Looms/boxers

I was grunge before grunge was cool.

I wear mostly skaters clothes, baggy pants and T-shirts I think are cool.
I like clothes I feel free in and I can run in. I don't care for tight clothes all though they look great on some people.
I like to dress up when going to parties but nothing really fancy. If going to a party I wear streetwear.
My passion are shoes. I LOVE shoes. Especially swear shoes (but they are really expensive) I don't buy many clothes. I only buy when I need them or I find something unbarably cool.

I prefer not-to-baggy baggy pants. Know what I mean? Not the excessively baggy kind. I usually wear a t-shirt, or a black button up...sometimes I'll wear one of my "off white" button ups, & a tie..to mimmick my hero, Spike Speigel(Cowboy Bebop :p ) Hey! I'm still in high school..I'm allowed to dress like a dork. But it ultimately depends on my mood for the day. My appearance usually shifts between goth-rocker-grunge-"who cares?"-respectable-dark freakish guy who might kill you(I took some white cloths, & put a crimson paint mixture of my own on them...heh...it looks like I'm a manin killer!).

Very rarely do you see me wear dresses or skirts.
I buy some expensive clothes..... but I just mainly buy what I like..... and a variety of my clothes come from Hot Topic :p

I wear jeans and a T-shirt. Really, I don't like wearing clothes actually, so when I do I wear as little as possible, and I am always comfortable. Otherwise I wear the clothes God designed for me. :p

My wardrobe is 95% hand me downs so it varies a lot. So it's the basic t-shirts, long sleeves, jeans and shorts.

My wardrobe is all about being comfortable! :D

My wardrobe consists of
- jeans, mostly boot-cut and flares from Old Navy
- sweaters
- t-shirts (long and short sleeved) solid and prints too
- sweat pants (you know, those really comfy baggy ones ^_^)
- adidas track pants
- pajama pants, flannel and cotton. I love those things. They are flippin' great. I could live on those forever and not even care.
- a couple of skirts, nice pairs of pants, and blouses for church n stuff
- my adidas sneakers, my black steve madden shoes, a pair of black doc martens, a couple of pairs of sandals - i'm not really that much of a "shoe" maven.

My wardrobe usually consists of Blue Jeans and some kind of T-shirt... be it a college t-shirt, plain T-shirt from Fruit of the Loom, or a "Not-Quite" T-shirt as I call them from Basic Equipment or Faded Glory.

Nothing Name Brand... don't shop at the Gap, Abercrombie, Old Navy (well, maybe occaisionally Old NAvy), or the like... can't be spending a fortune on clothes when I've got other things I need to pay for.

My wardrobe's nothing special. In fact, the clearance rack is usually the first place I go to on the few occasions I do shop. :p Seriously, you can find some pretty good stuff there!

I also like making my own shirt designs - don't know if anyone else has tried it, but there's a special paper that you can use to print designs from your computer on, then cut them out and iron them on a shirt. Loads of fun, especially when they turn out well. :)

Let's see... For me, it's...

- Black Jeans
- Either a yellow shirt, a green shirt that looks like a British football (if it's in England, it's football) jersey, or a logo shirt (They Might Be Giants, Itchy and Schratchy, Gir)
- Low top, white Chucks (this is becoming a pain to find considering Converse went out of business...)

Let's see... Any shirt, black jeans, socks, and as long as they fit, I'll just own one pair of shoes at a time. I'm not picky and if I go somewhere and someone doesn't like the way I dress, well, I'll just go about my business and they can mind their own. :D

I like to wear what I feel comfortable in. This can range from American Eagle to Hot Topics (I drool over all the cool shirts they have sometimes... I want so many of them!).

Pants - Khakis and jeans are fine with me, but I will not wear skirts - no way, no how, and I won't wear jeans that are cut too low!

Shirts - Shirts are usually tees in the warm weather, but if it's hot enough I'll wear a tank top. Cold weather calls for sweaters and long sleeve shirts, but no turtlenecks! I won't wear baggy shirts if I don't have to - they make me feel uncomfortable.

Shoes - I'm not picky when it comes to shoes, as long as they aren't ugly :p Sneakers and boots are fine, I don't feel right wearing $300 shoes.

my thing now is khakis. i'm dressing a bit nicer lately, i feel that since i'm in college i should make myself look a bit presentable, since there IS someone to impress out here, unlike high school. i still stick with my wide leg jeans (my BUM jeans are my favorite, and my back wide legs, too, until they ripped :( ). Usually when i wear wide legs, i have a shirt 10X too large for me on. i'm comfortable like that. if i'm wearing khakis, i'll have a sweater or some kind of nice top on (black, i'm very contemporary). i don't like dressing up all that much; it takes up too much time and effort for me. =P thursdays are easy days to dress because i just have to wear my BDUs (battle dress uniform) for army lab.

shoes...sneakers for me. and these clunky black boots my sis bought at Rugged warehouse that are a size too big for me, so i'm running into things with those boots on. :) it did make this guy i like talk to me, though ^_^

Lots and lots of black..no joke.

Outside of the school uniform, I wear black jeans (straight-leg, slighly bag to skin-tight), black turtle necks, and black t-shirts (including Batman). I have a few shirts made by Bhags (hippie /Far Eastern stuff). I also have a few form-fitting black shirts and red shirts. I have brown suede pants and matching jacket set and one set of leather pants and jacket, as a tip of the hat to frontmen/women everywhere. I wear lace-up 'combat boots' that come just a little over my ankles. Everything comes off the discount rack, of course, but it all is very classy. The formal wear I have is either in red or black. I rarely wear shorts, and the cutoffs I do have come down to my knees or maybe an inch or two above.

I'm well-covered, but not completely decent. :D

I shop at Target, Kohl's, and K-Mart, okay? They have great stuff!I pretty much won't go anywhere else for my clothes.

I dress comfortably, but not sloppily. That means a lot of jeans (straight cut, hate flares) and sweat pants that don't have the elastic at the bottom. Know what I mean?

I like my pants a little big, and my shirts a little small. I own several T-shirts that have shrunk so they're a great size. ;) My shirts have basic designs on them and are kind of low cut.

I currently have three pairs of shoes--school/everything else, a pair of sneakers, and a pair of sandals.

Right now, I'm wearing cargo sweats and a 2000 World Series Champions T-shirt.

When I hit College this is so gonna be me. I'm going to wear al those neat looking "white" clothes. As oposed to the more hip hop casual look I tend to from time to time. Right now I'm wearing something closer to what I would in college.
