This is the talkback thread for RIP Tom Ray 1919-2010 (http://www.toonzone.net/news/articles/33205/rip-tom-ray-1919-2010).

Another Golden Age vet has left us. :(

At this point it's no surprise that there are fewer and fewer Golden Age veterans left. But it's still sad to hear their passing.

I checked out his (no doubt incomplete) credits at imdb and I have to say I'm very impressed with his wide and varied career. Everything from the classic Warners shorts to shows like "Garfield and Friends" and "Hey Arnold!". I can only hope that my career will have much variety.

I didn't know him, though the name sounds somewhat familiar. It's awesome the amount of stuff he worked on. From classic Looney Tunes to my childhood favorites like Tiny Toons. I'm even surprised to know he born way long before my father and mother side grandma (my father born in 1932 and is already dead). Something else interesting to note is that he born the same year the first animation superstar: Felix the Cat. It's a shame I just know about him right now, when he died, reading the news article.

RIP Tom Ray

Man, did he get around in animation indeed. I remember seeing his name on Animaniacs as one of the last shows he worked on.
