Lost Pink Panther Cartoon

I did some research this past weekend and found out some interesting news regarding The Pink Panther.I found out that there was a PP pilot cartoon that was never released theatrically back in (directed by Freleng)1964 and has never been shown to the public and has never aired on televison....

Perhaps it was supposed to premiere with the live-action Pink Panther movie?

It was the pilot cartoon made before the very first "offical" Pink Panther cartoon was ever released to theaters and it was a seven mintue short..I don't know why this cartoon has never been shown before.

That lost cartoon is called "Suspense Account" and I have never seen it either.

That's the only Pink Panther title I've seen without the word "Pink" somewhere in the title.

I wonder if the opening was different for it...

I heard it had something to do with the inspector in presuite the Pink Panther.

I still think it had to do something with the release of the live action Pink Panther movie. Perhaps it was supposed to be an animated part of the movie, like some live-action movies use?

I looked through the Pink Panther episode listings (under DePatie/Freleng) at BCDB, and they didn't list a 1964 cartoon called "Suspense Account".

I would defer to Dave on this one. I am sure his information is correct, and that BCDB is wrong. This is the first I have heard of this cartoon. I will try to add it to BCDB soon!
