FUNIOP just made a thread for this, what is the point of this thread?

To be the one linked to the actual Toon Zone News post.

Hey Weatherman, were you the guy in the front row I saw go to toonzone?

Where there were two threads there is now one ;)

Also, glad to hear FUNi has the rights to "Falling Down" for EotE. Love that song. And the movies, though I figured they would naturally follow the series license.

Apparently they can't call it that?

Cool, Spice and Wolf didn't fail. I definitely enjoyed the first season enough to want it to continue. I was going to grab Eden whatever happened, but I definitely applaud Funi for getting through the rights issues and managing to keep the opening 100% original for the fans. That's a day one purchase for me, especially with the knowledge that the movies are definitely coming.

I think the only thing I have an interest in is hearing that FUNi has the Eden of the East Movies, Which was a no brainer, but still awesome to hear, and that the they can use the theme song for Eden.

Nice for Eden of the East movies and the opening being acquired.

Also, nice to see Chobits has been saved. Granted I don't like it as much as I did back in the day, it's still good to see it be released for a new generation.

Boy, they sure work fast. Good to hear the Eden of the East movies are acquired, and more so on the opening. Had me worried there for a second.

And Sean Schemmel actually being the one who sung the opening makes me pretty happy about it for some reason.

Yes. We really should coordinate things more.

I remember you saying you were one of the people on the "State of the Industry" panel last year. Is that true this year as well?

I was, and no, there is not a "State of the Industry" panel this year. Last year was just a last-moment "You, get up here" kind of thing.

I'm in for Chobits. I'm unsure about the rest.

The fun irony here is that I have a friend who is trying to collect all the CLAMP series on DVD and Chobits was missing from his collection.

I told him just yesterday that since it was a popular Geneon license Funimation would eventually get around to license rescuing the show.

Wow.

I'll buy first season of S&W now that I know for certain the second is coming out. Definitely will pickup the Eden of the East movies on BD. As for Chobits, no, just no. Black Butler is also a no, but if someone else had gotten it and released it fairly quickly, I would be interested. Not a total loss by any means.
