Ioha Mother Denounces DC Cartoon Series for "Scrambling" Son's Brain
"I can't believe it's come to this" a shaken Maria Ortega Crisco explained, over coffee at the local IHOP. Two weeks ago, her 8-year-old son, Bethany, was happily sitting watching television. Now, the troubled youth is under psychiatric care at the Happy Thoughts Mental Facility in Nebraska. According to his mother, the trouble all began when "Bee" stumbled across a rerun of the 1990's action series, Batman Beyond.
"There was this egg, see" she begins, choking back tears, "and Batman's carrying him all around town...naked...!!" The episode she refers to, Eggbaby, sees the teenaged Batman of the Future, Terry, forced to fight crime while carrying a computerized egg around town for a school project. "There was nothing on 'im! Just a little towel! And it just kept smiling like the devil!"
According to police reports, Crisco immediately frantically called 911 to help her restrain her son. "As soon as the episode was over, he just kept asking questions about where babies come from! How else in the holy heavens would he think to ask about that if not for this show??" Police entered the home to find the young son outstretching his arms towards his trembling mother, asking for an omlette. As soon as the police were able to disarm the child - who was brandishing a cherry red crayon at the time - paramedics restrained him using pillows and stuffed animals. Maria had to be revived using CPR.
"I just went into shock. If I'd known he was watching that kind of brainwashing filth, I'd never have left the television on while I was oil painting the oven." Clearly, these are the regrets that will continue to haunt this single mother, until her unstable child stops asking questions and gives into his Avacado therapy.
When contacted for a quote, the Happy Thoughts board of trustees simply said that they "are calling for all cartoon networks in the greater planetary area to censor the episode for all time." WB is said to be considering paying Disney some royalties in order to have the Eggbaby wearing red shorts with suspenders.
