Hasbro has no plans to release Justice League figures. They decided it'd be too expensive for their tastes.

yeah, there was a story about this earlier
I believe Hasbro has the exclusive rights to produce Batman & Superman action figures. They thought it'd be non-profittable to pick up the character licenses of the other 5.
And if another toymaker chose to produce JL action figures, they'd have to pay Hasbro handsomely to make Bats & Supey.
So in short, no JL figs.
):-(
the alternative is the JL maquettes, if you can eat $90x7 ($630)
Hasbro's contract is another reason why DC Direct doesn't produce any Batman-Superman figs. However, they do make up for it in other aspects: statues, posters, etc...

This is why I have grown to hating Hasbro... they'll hardly ever take a chance on things, and they'd rather sit on Batman and Superman rights than give them to a company that gives a darn. This is why I buy very little from them anymore- Toy Biz is cranking out some great stuff right now, Hasbro ought to take note...
BTW, the 1500 post mark is now broken! Eh, who cares...

I get the Previews catalog from my local comic's shop, and I have started getting the Animated JLA Maquettes.
The first one in the series is Wonder Woman who appeared on March 13th. The next one is supposed to be "Martian Manhunter". He is supposed to ship in April.
I know I have seen some figures in a couple of Previews ago, but this was on Legion of Superheroes.

I think it sucks that Hasbro isn't going the extra mile for the fans. Whatever happened to them anyway? Hasbro was the god of toy companies back in the 80s with GI Joe and The Transformers. However, if Hasbro ever did make a JL line, my only request would be that they start using cloth capes again. The plastic capes suck!

Hasbro might not be doing that many superhero action figures since we have companies like McFarlane Action figures and other's on the scene now. Some of the older figure makers are not nearly as good as the newer ones.

i think that the best company making toys right now is dc direct themselves. they have awesome sculpts and some of the more obscure characters. i wish that dc direct could make a batman/robin figure set. this would almost round out the justice league and teen titans figure series.
