Dose anybody remember Ruby-Spears' Superman cartoon from the late 80's that aired on CBS?

I remember it, but it was a pretty forgetful series. It lasted just one season and it was pretty weak from what I remember. :(

I dunno. I thought it was pretty good. I mean, this was the first Superman production post-Byrne that actually mattered (let's never discuss The Quest For Peace ever again). The adaptation of the characters in that continuity was kind of cool, not to mention the Wonder Woman guest shot, which didn't even happen in the 90s version. The Smallville Memories portion were interesting vignettes as well, leading to the moment Clark left for Metropolis after becoming Superman. There weren't a lot of big name villains, but it was at least worth watching. Shame CBS placed it in the 8 AM time slot, or else it could have stayed another season or two. Of course, signing the Turtles for the '89-'90 season kinda put the kibosh on that.

Then again, I have a fondness for the '80s cartoons.

I had actually forgotten that I had these on tape until I was packing this week for my move.

I put a tape in between the GI Joe and Transformers tapes I had had on while I was packing up my VHS and DVD libraries.

I watched a few eps..not too bad. Superman TAS is 1,000 times more better..but these were a good try at a cartoon series for Superman when there was non except for Superfriends.

The Superman family album stuff cracks me up!

I also found a set of tapes of the Hulk Hogan Rock and Wrestling toon series and Mighty Orbots..I really did not remember having these at all. Its amazing what you find when you are packing up an entire house for a move
